Floral Birthday

When I first saw the Floral boutique designer series paper in the catalog I wasn't sure I wanted to use it, I am not sure if it is because there aren't more colors in it or if it was for another reason.  Eventually I tried it out though because I really love the coordinating stamp set called Floral Phrases and now I am not sure why I didn't like it before, LOL!  I combined both the designer series paper and the stamp set on the birthday card below.

On the background I again used the Delicate Details (SAB 2017) stamp set and then added some flowers from the Floral Phrases set on the die cut label.  The sentiment is from the retired stamp set called Tin of Cards.

Supplies:
Tin of Cards, Floral Phrases, Delicate Details (SAB 2017)
Pool Party, Night of Navy ink

October Stamp Club Projects

This month's Stamp Club projects are mostly holiday themed although I did throw a birthday card in there too.

The layout uses the Hello December 2015 Project Life stamp set, card collection and accessories kit...

On this card, I chose the Project Life Season Snapshot 2015 stamp set (in the background, some Spider Web doilies, Happy Haunting designer series paper and the Howl-o-ween stamp set...

And finally, a card using the Birthday Blossoms stamp set, Farmer's Market designer series paper and the labels collection framelits.

If these look fun and you would like to join us sometime, contact me here.  I have both monthly local and online clubs with openings!

Best Thoughts

I don't think I have tried this color combination in the past, but I think it will be one I will use again.  The colors are Mint Macaron, Blackberry Bliss and Very Vanilla...

I chose the Best Thoughts hostess stamp set for the images and used the Decorative Dots folder on the background.  The popped up layer is cut out using the Labels collection framelits and I added a piece of Farmers Market designer series paper and a little knot made with the Venetian crochet trim ribbon.

Supplies:
Best Thoughts
Mint Macaron, Blackberry Bliss ink

Decorative Notepads

Quite awhile ago while I was in an office supply store I bought a pack of 8 1/2" x 11" note pads and had them cut into three pieces.  I have used a few since then, but I have quite a pile of them left and figured I better start using them up!

The holder for these note pads is 12" x 6 1/2" and is scored at 3 1/8" from both sides.  I added some Neutrals color collection designer series paper and layered some Boho Chic embossed card stock before I added my sentiment from Just Kidding that was cut out with the Labels collection framelits.

On the inside I added another strip of designer series paper...

For the second one, I used some Sale-a-bration leftovers along with the Everything Eleanor stamp set.

I have a layer embossed with the same impressions folder on this one as well as a tea lace paper doily.

These are fun little items to put together and don't take a lot of time.

Supplies:
Memorable Moments, Just Kidding, Everything Eleanor
Lost Lagoon, Basic Gray ink
Wisteria Wonder, Whisper White, Calypso Coral, Basic Gray, Baked Brown Sugar, Crisp Cantaloupe, Mint Macaron card stock

Happy #13!

Well today we have another big birthday in our house, my oldest son turns 13!  I do not know where the time has gone...

I used the Lucky Stars embossing folder on the Pumpkin Pie card stock after I did a little stamping on it.  The "happy" comes from the Hello you thinlits and the stamps are from Memorable Moments.

Happy 14th!

Recently my son went to a friend's birthday party and this is the card I put together for him to use.  I cut the "happy" out with the Hello you thinlits and the Project Life card collection from Sale-a-bration.  That is also used for the background on the card.

The stamping was done with the Memorable Moments stamp set and I cut out the label with the labels collection framelits.

Supplies:
Memorable Moments
Blackberry Bliss, Tangerine Tango ink
Whisper White, Coastal Cabana card stock
Labels collection framelits
Hello You thinlits
Paper tea lace doilies

Happy!

I have a couple samples today to share using the same sentiment from Hello Life.  I shared a card using this one a couple days ago as well and I think that it will also make a great page title for scrapbooking.

On the first card, I used a piece of Adventure Bound designer series paper as my background and then stapled on some Lost Lagoon stitched satin ribbon.

For the second I cut out the entire front of the card using the Labels collection framelits and added the sentiment to the inside.

Supplies:
Hello Life
Early Espresso ink
Strawberry Slush, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso and Very Vanilla card stock
Adventure bound dsp
Lost Lagoon stitched satin ribbon
staples
Labels collection framelits

More of Winnie the Pooh

Here are the last three variations of the wooden pieces I shared with you yesterday.  The customer wanted to make sure I used the same saying on all of them "...if there ever comes a day when we can't be together, keep me in your heart, I'll stay there forever..."

Again, I used some retired items, but on the masculine ones I decided to use the Wetlands stamp set.

Again, lots of sponging (I actually used the reinker and put it directly on my sponge for the edges of the wood instead of tapping it into my ink pad).

Hope you enjoy them (and my customer too does too)!

Anniversary Cards

Today I have a couple different anniversary cards to share with you.  The first one uses some Silver Fancy Foil Vellum, a tag leftover from a Paper Pumpkin kit and an image from Draw the Line.

I added some small hearts to each card and both sentiments are from teeny tiny wishes.

Next, I used the negative of a labels collection framelit in silver glimmer as my starting point.  I added some Silver Fancy Foil vellum behind it and added it to a piece of Lost Lagoon card stock.

Supplies:
Teeny Tiny Wishes, Draw the line
Whisper White, Lost Lagoon, Smoky Slate, Raspberry Ripple card stock
Smoky Slate, Craft white ink
small heart punch
modern label punch
Silver Glimmer paper
Silver Fancy foil vellum
1/8" silver ribbon

April My Paper Pumpkin

This time of year is when I appreciate the fun and simple My Paper Pumpkin kits - when time to stamp is very limited.  Basically, I followed the kit exactly except I added a card with some of the extras (and there are still plenty of extras ready to use another time!).

To create the card, I added the Whisper White, Coastal Cabana and Calypso Coral card stock as well as the half label from the Labels collection framelits in Pear Pizzazz.  The rest is from the leftover pieces of the kit.

inside of the card...

This piece just slides right over the top of the frame for some super cute packaging!

The collection together...

and the frame.  I can see those stamps being used quite a bit in the future as well - love them!

Serene Thank You

This week has become a really busy one now that the temperatures are warm enough to load seed potatoes into trucks that are not enclosed.  I have not been near my stamp room for awhile, but hopefully I will be able to sneak in there before too long...

I had some leftover pieces of little hexagons from the last time I used my hexagon hive thinlit and thought I would use a few on a card.  They are layered onto Soft Sky punched hexagons.

The little washi tape bow was made by folding some washi tape over so that both sticky sides touch each other; then you just tie a little knot.

Supplies:
Lots of Thanks, Serene Silhouettes
Early Espresso, Crumb Cake ink
Early Espresso, Soft Sky, Very Vanilla card stock
Naturals Composition specialty paper
Labels collection framelits
Hexagon hive thinlit
Hexagon punch
Watercolor wonder washi tape
Vintage trinkets

Simple box

This is just a simple box that I decorated with the Best of Flowers stamp set, some Afternoon Picnic designer paper and accessories.  It could be for a gift card, tags, or anything you can think of and measures about 3 1/2" x 4 1/2".

I chose to use Wisteria Wonder and Coastal Cabana as my accent colors and added some burlap ribbon and a Very Vintage button as well.

The Wisteria Wonder piece was embossed with the Chevron folder for some texture and the flower is layered with Labels collection framelits.

These colors look so pretty together I think and help me to remember spring is just around the corner - hopefully!

Have a wonderful day!

Fill your heart with happy!

Yesterday I shared the baby girl cards I created with for a customer and today I will share one of the baby boy cards.  Yes, I again went into my scraps/leftovers box for some pieces to use on these cards (I clean it out twice a year when I go to retreats at the Park River Bible Camp and share any good size pieces with the After School Programs but I try to use as much as I can before I do the donating too!).

I again use the Cherished Moments stamp set, this time with the feet instead of the hands and the Cuddles and Kisses stamp set for my words.

I thought a few little hexagon punched pieces would be fun and added some faux stitching with the white Stampin' chalk marker.

Supplies:
Cherished Moments
Cuddles and Kisses
Watercolor Wonder dsp
Island Indigo, Gumball Green ink
Wild Wasabi, Whisper White, Smoky Slate, Basic Gray and Island Indigo card stock
hexagon punch
