Memories

I have used a mix of products on this sympathy card including several different stamp sets.  For the background I chose Timeless Textures and I used 2 different images from that set with some Crumb Cake ink.

Then I added some leaves from the Butterfly Basics stamp set and stamped them both on the Wild Wasabi layer and the card base.

Finally, I used the Blessings from Heaven set for the sentiment and the Butterfly Basics flower for my accented piece.

Supplies:
Blessings from Heaven, Butterfly Basics, Timeless Textures
Crumb Cake, Wild Wasabi ink
Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Wild Wasabi card stock
Ovals collection framelits
Note tag punch
Basic pearls
Linen thread

Memories

I always seem to run out of sympathy cards either for my own use or for my sister's store.  This one is simple but I like the combination of colors and images.

I chose to use the background stamp from You've Got this in Mint Macaron and then over the top I added the flower from Butterfly Basics in Soft Suede.  The sentiment is retired from the Blessings from Heaven stamp set but it is one I like to keep using and it is stamped on a Deco labels framelit.

Supplies:
Blessings from Heaven, Butterfly Basics, You've Got This
Mint Macaron, Soft Suede ink
Wisteria Wonder, Soft Sky, Whisper White card stock
Deco labels framelits

Praying for You

I recently read an article in the paper about a 13 year old boy who has had 55 surgeries in his short life and has many more scheduled.  The article had an address for him so cards could be sent to encourage him during his journey.  This card is made with him in mind and is the one I sent to him last week...

The card combines Everything Eleanor, Springtime Hello and Blessings from Heaven stamp sets and pieces cut from Chalk Talk framelits and Little Leaves sizzlit.

Sometimes cards don't end up as we envision them because we change our minds midway through and that happened here...I had just placed the stamped and cut out image from Everything Eleanor on the card front when I realized I wanted to stamp the flower image from Springtime Hello on it.  Instead of trying to take it off, I stamped it while it was on the card front (with dimensionals behind it) and the image did not look good.  So...I went through the scrap pile and found a Chalk Talk framelits cutout that would fit over the bad image and stamped and sponged that before I covered up the mistake...

Supplies:
Springtime Hello, Everything Eleanor, Blessings from Heaven
Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake and Coastal Cabana card stock
Coastal Cabana and Soft Suede ink
sponges
Little Leaves sizzlit
Chalk Talk framelits
taffeta ribbon

Memories

I really love using the Distressed Dots background stamp for all kinds of things, scrapbook backgrounds, cards, tags, etc.  It is retiring, but I know it is one stamp I won't let go of for awhile.

On this card, I used Wisteria Wonder ink with it for the background on Very Vanilla card stock.  The tree comes from the Lovely as a Tree stamp set and the sentiment from Blessings from Heaven.

I paired Soft Suede with the Very Vanilla and Wisteria Wonder and added some Artisan Embellishment Kit lace. The tree image is stamped over faux mother of pearl background that I used the champagne shimmer paint to create.

Peaceful Memories

I have been in need of lots of sympathy cards lately so in the next little while I plan to show you a few new ones that I have made to restock my card stash.

For this one, I used some Tea for Two dsp as my background and stamped my sentiment right on it since it is light enough to show the ink.

Supplies:
Blessings From Heaven, Serene Silhouettes
Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake card stock
Tea for Two dsp
Crumb Cake ink
Victoria crochet trim
Vintage trinkets
