Non Winning Artisan Project #10

I had the most fun and spent the most time on this project.  I kept thinking of fun things to add for accessories for the little girl and her doll!

I cut the fabric into strips (just went around and around so I had one piece for each fat quarter) and then I knit the fabric.

For the flowers, I knit a strip and then wound it together.

For the party hats, I used fabric and Victoria crochet trim to knit and then added the flower trim with linen thread when I was finished.

I added flower trim and trinkets to the bracelet and necklaces that were also knit the same way.

I had to add an invite as well so I used the Tea Shoppe and Oh Hello stamp sets for that...

Maybe I should have sent the doll along in the entry box, but I think  my daughter might have been a little upset with me :)

And the whole ensemble...

Supplies:
My Digital Studio
Oh Hello and Tea Shoppe
Tea for Two dsp and fabric
Early Espresso, Very Vanilla card stock
Early Espresso classic ink
extra large oval punch
Calypso Coral and Lucky Limeade markers
Tea Time Trinkets
Victoria Crochet trim
Linen thread

Non Winning Artisan Project #9

So for the first 3D project entry I altered a canvas using reinkers, glue and salt.  Then, I used the Music Notes wheel and added some stamping to it.

The basic rhinestones were colored with reinkers and crystal effects before I added them to the canvas and I also dyed some paper doilies to use for accents.

I found a great Christopher Robin quote that I printed onto some Canvas Creations and then I sponged and spritzed ink over it before I added an image and some recolored basic pearls.

The butterflies are cut from the cardboard box that a My Paper Pumpkin kit came in and then I used the same music notes wheel to add music.

The canvas creations strips behind the picture were dyed just like the paper doilies and then distressed directly with ink pads.

There was lots of dimension and texture in this piece and it is another one that I would have loved to keep, but probably won't spend the time recreating for my own use.

Non Winning Artisan Project #6

I played around with so many techniques and ideas on this page and really didn't want to give it up when I was done with it, but also didn't know if I wanted to spend another 3 hours on one scrapbook page!

Some of the background texture is from inked embossing folders and other is from inked up saran wrap.

I did LOTS of sponging and some distressing of card stock along with lots of layering.

Fan Fair dsp
Tea for Two dsp
Very Vanilla, Early Espresso, Midnight Muse card stock

Non Winning Artisan Project #5

Lots and lots of pictures to share with you since my last card entry was a trifold one.  I even used a little piece of velcro to close it and made it more like a book or mini album that way.

The focus of the card was on the Storytime designer series paper.

I added a little chalkboard technique to the inside using the From My Heart stamp set with the idea that this could be a teacher thank you card.

Supplies:
Just Believe, From my Heart, Distressed Dots stamp sets
Storytime dsp
Old Olive, Riding Hood Red, Baja Breeze, Basic Black, So Saffron card stock
Riding Hood Red, Old Olive classic ink
Craft White ink
