Maddie's Stamping Stuff

 

Each year we get a gift of cheese from some of our seed potato customers in Wisconsin and it comes in a cute little wooden box that I never want to throw away.  

 

I have made a box of cards with custom made envelopes before using one of these boxes, but this time I decided to make something for my daughter's stamp table.

 

She is 9 1/2 and always wants to scrapbook and stamp and has her own little spot in the basement.  It is nice to always have a stamping buddy! 

 

I used the Schoolhouse Designer series paper pack along with some different stamp sets and embellishments to decorate the box and I know she has already filled it up!

 

For the top, I used the Layered Letters stamp set along with some 1/4" Pool Party cotton ribbon and a basic hodge podge clips accent.  There are also some White perfect accents used.

 

The sides have buttons and sentiments...

 

She was so excited to see what I made with the box and even more thrilled to find out it was for her!

Happy Day!

In the last year or so, I have gone from 2 page layouts to 1 page for most things I scrapbook.  If the event is one with tons of pictures, I will do the 2 page layout once in awhile though.

 



 

For this layout, I used a piece of Color Me Autumn designer series paper as my background and added a strip of it to the front as well.

 

My title is from Starburst sayings and is cut out with the Starburst framelit.  I added some stamped images from Kinda Eclectic and Truly Grateful as well.

Nobody Loves...

 

We will take a little break from the Just Kidding stamp set samples :)  This one uses the Mother's Love stamp set that is in the Occasions catalog and some Moonlight designer series paper.

 

I like to add angled layers sometimes and on this one I used the same mat color for both layers - Blackberry Bliss.  Some of the fun thick baker's twine from Sale-a-bration and a basics hodgepodge clip finishes it off.

Remember...

 

I have had this little wooden open box for awhile and was just not sure what I wanted to do with it.  One day I decided to cover it with some patterns from the Birthday Bash designer washi sheets and then added a few other decorations. 

 



 

I stamped the sentiment from Hello Life on a Let's Get Away Project Life Card Collection piece using Bermuda Bay ink.

 

 

Then, I added a leftover party pennant (leftover from the baptism decorations I made awhile back) that was also embossed with the Large Polka Dots folder and added some basic rhinestones to each raised piece.

 

A few other embellishments and I had a cute little table decoration!

Here are a couple more cards using the Guy Greetings stamp set and Adventure Bound designer series paper.  I think the designer series paper adds a lot to the card and haven't added a whole lot more. 

 



 

Behind the sentiment and image layer is a decorative label punched piece of Cherry Cobbler and I have also added a small paper clip from the basic hodgepodge clips assortment.

Although I haven't found a lot of time to play with them yet, I really like the chalkboard paper and ColorBox Chalk ink pads.  On this card I paired them with the Balloon Bash stamp set and some Stacked with Love designer series paper.

 

On a separate piece of Whisper White card stock, I stamped the image a second time and cut out the banner, placing it on the chalkboard paper with Stampin' dimensionals.

Balloon Bash

 

Today's sample shows off the new chalkboard paper that is in the Occasions catalog (only 2 more days until you can order from it!).  I used the White craft ink to stamp the sentiment on the chalkboard paper and added some confetti images behind that with Calypso Coral ink.

 

Since the sentiment is fairly large I didn't add much more to the card except the hodgepodge clip.

Sneak peek time again!  This stamp set from the Occasions catalog is called Balloon Bash (photopolymer).  The images are nice and big and there are several birthday sentiment as well as some balloons, confetti and candles.

At a craft show recently, I had a wooden plaque on display that I made and it had a picture of my kids on it so it wasn't for sale obviously, just a sample.  A lady asked me to make up 5 more for her with the same saying, but vary them a little.  I couldn't get the exact wooden piece that I had used on the first one, but really like the ones I did use.

 

Each one is a little different and I have used some retired stamp sets that I still have laying around too...

 

Lots of sponging and thankfully I still had a pack of the retired specialty paper I used in the background for them.

Take Out Celebrate Box

 

Have you tried the cute little takeout boxes that are in the Holiday catalog on page 10?  They are super easy to put together - cut out and scored for you.  

 

I randomly stamped some flowers on this one and added a little ribbon and a tag. Quick and simple for a little gift, some goodies or even a gift card.

Sunshine

 

As I get ready for a semi-annual scrapbooking retreat, one of the things I needed to do was make a couple sets of swap cards.  This is one of them and I will share the other on another day.  

 

The background is printed from My Digital Studio and the designer paper is in the collection called Modern Prints. 

 

I chose a sentiment from Ray of Sunshine and added a little bit of Watercolor Wonder designer washi tape and a basic hodgepodge clip to finish it off.
