Flower Girl

 

Before I left for my scrapbook retreat last weekend, I tried to do a little picture organizing (tried being the operative word!).  I went through a big stack of pictures and made lists for the kids and asked them to go through their albums to see if those events were already in their books or not... It was actually a good way for them to spend a little time away from the electronics and they enjoyed looking through the albums (I guess I will have to try that again!).

 

This big event for Maddie was not in her book yet so it is one of the projects I put together over the weekend.  It was a very important day for her and everyone made her feel SO special.

 

I started with Mossy Meadow 12 x 12 card stock and added some Birthday Bouquet designer series paper.   

 

The photos are matted on Watermelon Wonder and I added some Metallic Glitter tape (SAB 2016), simply pressed clay blossoms, sequins and some flower trim I had dyed with some Pink Pirouette reinker.

 

The title is stamped with the Layered Letters alphabet stamp set.

Maddie's Stamping Stuff

 

Each year we get a gift of cheese from some of our seed potato customers in Wisconsin and it comes in a cute little wooden box that I never want to throw away.  

 

I have made a box of cards with custom made envelopes before using one of these boxes, but this time I decided to make something for my daughter's stamp table.

 

She is 9 1/2 and always wants to scrapbook and stamp and has her own little spot in the basement.  It is nice to always have a stamping buddy! 

 

I used the Schoolhouse Designer series paper pack along with some different stamp sets and embellishments to decorate the box and I know she has already filled it up!

 

For the top, I used the Layered Letters stamp set along with some 1/4" Pool Party cotton ribbon and a basic hodge podge clips accent.  There are also some White perfect accents used.

 

The sides have buttons and sentiments...

 

She was so excited to see what I made with the box and even more thrilled to find out it was for her!

Wedding Gift

 

You may have noticed that I like to work with wooden trays a little bit :)  This one is wedding themed and the openings are made for artist trading cards or at least that size of whatever you put into it. 

 

There are lots of different elements and stamp sets used on the project, many of which are in the Occasions catalog (remember you can only order from it until May 31st!).

 

The card uses Celebrate with us and Hearts a Flutter stamp sets, along with some Naturals composition specialty paper and Fancy foil Vellum paper.

 

I decorated the inside similar to the envelope...

 

Here are some close ups of the tray openings - these simply pressed clay flowers were sponged with Coastal Cabana ink after they were dry.

 

You will see some Everything Eleanor images along with Best of Love, Perfect Couple and Celebrate with us.

It doesn't want to show up in the pictures, but I stamped flower images on the Basic Black card stock using the Illuminations Glimmer watermark ink.

 

The large heart was stamped with Craft white ink and then cut out with the Hearts a flutter framelits...

 

The tray doesn't have a specific destination just yet, but I am sure I will find the need for a wedding gift this summer!

You Make Me Happy

Isn't the new Chevron border punch fun?  On this card, I used Smoky Slate card stock with it and popped the piece up with Stampin' dimensionals to give it a little more depth.

 



 

The Alphabet Press folder went behind the Chevron punched card stock and I used Coastal Cabana for that.  I added a die cut from the Chalk Talk set, some bakers twine and a simply pressed clay flower to complete the accents.

Scrapping with I Am Me

 

I had some pictures from my sister's family's trip to Arizona last winter to see our parents and wanted to scrap them for our album.  

 

The pages contain a lot of designer series paper from the I Am Me set as well as some Simply Pressed Clay buttons and faux stitching and dots made with the white gel pen.

 

My title was made with My Digital studio using the Chevron brush stamp set as a background for the words.

 

All of the pictures are 4" x 6".

Hello Sweet Friend

 

 

I went with a very simple card in one of my first attempts with the Six Sided Sampler stamp set.  The colors I chose to put together are Old Olive, Whisper White and Tempting Turquoise.

 

I am still struggling to figure out the best way to use it for some reason!  I thought a simply pressed clay button would be a good accent, this one has been tinted using a little Melon Mambo.

 

I punched out one of the hexagons with our new punch and popped it up for a little texture.

 

 

I Am Me

Happy Independence Day!  My card isn't too patriotic today, but we are enjoying the Fourth of July celebrations in Park River along with my husband's high school reunion.  The kids will be full of sugar for many days in the future after collecting it at the parade!

 



 

I played around with the Simply Pressed  Clay accent on this card using the Calypso Coral marker around the edges and adding some Candy dots to the center.

Using Those Scraps

 

I hate to throw away scraps that are left over from cutting card stock down although I admit sometimes the pile gets a little overwhelming and some of it ends up in the trash.

 

I decided to use some of the 1/2" strips that are left after doing some swap cards for convention on this card.  It would be fun to emboss them as well...

Diagonal Thinking of You

I was playing with some diagonal cuts on another project and thought I would use the scraps for some cards.  I added this piece of Gingham Garden dsp to a piece of Daffodil Delight card stock that I embossed with the Modern Mosaic folder.

 

 

Then, I added my sentiment from Sassy Salutations and use the Artisan Label punch to create the edges on it, by only placing one side in at a time.

 

Lastly, I added a flower I made with the Simply Pressed Clay and Molds.  The clay had some Melon Mambo re-inker worked into it.
