Butterflies Everywhere

I die cut a few butterfly pieces using the Grapefruit Grove and Lovely Lipstick foil paper (SAB 2019) one day and there are a few ideas below...

For two of my cards, I used the Botanical Butterfly designer series paper (SAB 2019) behind the butterfly die cuts and on the others I used the Gingham Garden designer series paper.

Each has a Stitched Label framelit die cut for the sentiment and either a strip of designer series paper or ribbon as an accent.

Sweet Sorbet



One of my favorite colors is the Crisp Cantaloupe that we first saw with the new catalog last spring.  I love that it is in the Sale-a-bration designer series paper pack called Sweet Sorbet and picked it as the background for this card.

 



 

Again, this holiday is a ways off, but it will be here before we know it!  I always need to get ahead of things in the spring since we will start shipping and then planting potatoes again before long (well, planting for sure won't start til May, but this nice warm weather we are enjoying right now makes it seem like we are getting closer!).

Oh Happy Day!

Another paper mache project to share today, this time it is a book box that I converted into a card box.  This was a really fun project to put together - I might have to pick up another book box  and do it again with a different theme!

 

I decided to go with the colors in the Gingham Garden designer series paper and also used the washi tape to cover the raised edges on the side of the "book". 

 

To decorate the cover, I used another spiral flower die and some dazzling details along with an Elegant butterfly and sentiment from Starburst Sayings.

 

This is what the whole ensemble looks like, cards and all.  Each of the cards have a different feel while they all contain Starburst Sayings and Framelits images.

 

Lots of layers, designer series paper and some fun things to embellish are included on all the cards in the box.

Well, this card is kind of for my kids...we are on vacation without them and missing them like crazy.  It also ties in with the Late Night Stampers challenge of using embossing of some type on your project.  

 

My background is from the Gingham Garden designer series paper pack and I added some Decorative Dots embossing on Daffodil Delight and some Honeycomb embossing on my Apothecary accent. 

 

The sentiment is stamped on an image from Everything Eleanor that I cut out with my paper snips.

Very Merry

I seem to really like Strawberry Slush and Coastal Cabana for Christmas cards this year!  This is another non traditional colored card using some Gingham Garden designer series paper and some Champagne Glimmer paper.

Today I have another file folder card to share with you, this time instead of keeping my layer of dsp in a rectangle shape, I made the file folder shape in a smaller size than the card base.  

 

I used the image from Gifts of Kindness behind my sentiment and the From my Heart set for the sentiment.

Little Altered Notebooks

 

Our Late Night Stampers challenge that starts today is to make a back to school teacher gift.  I thought these cute little altered notebooks would be great teacher or even student gifts for back to school.

 

 

I found the notebooks at the "M" store in the dollar section awhile ago on clearance and while they looked nice without altering, I thought they would be more fun this way!

 

I used several different designer series papers, but added some 1 1/4 burlap ribbon to each one.

 

 

The "notes" comes from the ABC 123 Sketch alphabet and numbers stamp set and I added the Positively Chevron background stamp over the top.

 

The Delicate Doilies stamp set shows up in two of the designs as well.

Some days I just need to sit down and attack some scraps that are either leftover from cutting out class projects or from mass producing something when I didn't use all the pieces.  This card is one of those creations.

June Stamp Camp Projects

Lisa and I were finally able to hold a Stamp Camp at the end of June, my schedule was the hold up given the wet and drawn out planting season.

 

These are the fun projects we created using some new catalog items that we love.

 

 

This fun pouch uses the Gingham Garden dsp and Chalk Talk stamp set and framelits.  It is made from a piece of 12 x 12 dsp and used the measurements from this video.

 

I CASED this idea from our Stampin' Success magazine using the Tape it stamp set and a couple of Paper Pumpkin stamps.

 

Lisa came up with this super cute card using the I Am Me dsp (love that set!).

 

 

Diagonal Thinking of You

I was playing with some diagonal cuts on another project and thought I would use the scraps for some cards.  I added this piece of Gingham Garden dsp to a piece of Daffodil Delight card stock that I embossed with the Modern Mosaic folder.

 

 

Then, I added my sentiment from Sassy Salutations and use the Artisan Label punch to create the edges on it, by only placing one side in at a time.

 

Lastly, I added a flower I made with the Simply Pressed Clay and Molds.  The clay had some Melon Mambo re-inker worked into it.

June Stamp Club projects

This month, I focused on some Gingham Garden dsp and Gingham Garden washi tape for the layout and one of the cards.

 

On the layout, I used the Morning Meadow hostess stamp set for some Daffodil Delight flowers as an accent.

 

On the first card, the stamp set used is Happy Day and I put some washi tape on a scrap and then punched out my butterfly and added some basic rhinestones to it.

 

The last project was a sympathy card using some new colors (Pistachio Pudding and Crisp Cantaloupe) and the Simply Sketched and Love and Sympathy stamp sets.

Gingham Garden Birthday

 

Today's card is quick and easy because that is what I need these days  when I don't have much time to spend stamping. 

 

 

I used the preview stamp set Label Love and paired it with the Artisan label punch.  The flower is a Fancy flower punch that I rolled with my bone folder and added an antique brad to.

 

And lastly, some 1" to 1 1/4" strips of Gingham Garden dsp that I tore and added to the card.
