Composition Alteration

As I transition from harvest back to having some stamping time, I am getting ready for a craft show and making a few items I don't normally have one hand.  Some of those items are altered notebooks and I thought I would share one of them with you today.

I have used a composition book for this one, I usually have a stack of them on hand that I have found on clearance after back to school sales.  It is covered with Flashback designer series paper and I used sticky strip to attach both the designer series paper and the ribbon (retired).

The decorating is a simple layer of Real Red with the sentiment from Friends Who know on top of it.

Supplies:
Friends Who Know
Memento Black ink
Real Red, Very Vanilla card stock
Flashback dsp
Sticky Strip
1 1/4" striped grosgrain ribbon (retired)

Little Altered Notebooks

Our Late Night Stampers challenge that starts today is to make a back to school teacher gift.  I thought these cute little altered notebooks would be great teacher or even student gifts for back to school.

I found the notebooks at the "M" store in the dollar section awhile ago on clearance and while they looked nice without altering, I thought they would be more fun this way!

I used several different designer series papers, but added some 1 1/4 burlap ribbon to each one.

The "notes" comes from the ABC 123 Sketch alphabet and numbers stamp set and I added the Positively Chevron background stamp over the top.

The Delicate Doilies stamp set shows up in two of the designs as well.

Supplies:
notebooks
Early Espresso, Pistachio Pudding and Crisp Cantaloupe ink
Pistachio Pudding, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Basic Black card stock
Venetian Romance, Gingham Garden, Sweater Weather, and Modern Medley dsps
sticky strip
1 1/4" burlap ribbon
Positively Chevron, ABC 123 alphabet and numbers, and Delicate Doilies stamp sets

This and That Note Pad

My little girl is getting her tonsils out today and I wanted to put a few things together for her to cheer her up when she is done.  She loves notebooks for doodling so I decided to put this little one together for her with the Epic Day designer series paper, stickers and washi tape.

I am sure it won't last long, but I know she will love it!

I added a bow made of Pool Party ruffled ribbon to the front as well.

"Create" Skinny Notebook

A long time ago I bought some notebooks and had the stores cut them in three the long way for me but I haven't really used them (gasp!).  This notebook holder is really quick and easy to put together and even has a spot for a pen.

I used the Patio Party designer series paper and the Apothecary Accents framelits.

The sentiment is from Loving Thoughts and I added some cute in color dahlias to the circles as well.

Don't you just love that ribbon?!

Loving Thoughts
Patio Party DSP

Apothecary accents framelits

Chevron folder
Raspberry Ripple stitched satin ribbon
