Be the Star

I did a little playing around with the Be the Star stamp set one day and the card I am sharing today is one of the creations.  It is just used as a background stamp on this card on a piece of Hello Honey card stock.

The rest of the card consists of some scraps and a paper tea lace doily.  I will share another Be the Star card with you tomorrow!

Supplies:
Yippee Skippee, Be the Star
Basic Black ink
Hello Honey, Whisper White card stock
Red glimmer paper
white bakers twine
tea lace paper doilies
1 3/4" circle punch
Apothecary accents framelit

Patterns and Textures

This card may be a little overboard with different patterns and textures.  I threw in the Chevron folder, Hexagon Hive thinlit, and itty bitty accents punches for texture and the Work of Art stamp set and Flashback designer series paper for patterns.

I might stamp off the chevron image before I stamp behind the sentiment next time to lighten it up a little.

Supplies:
Work of Art, Yippee Skippee
Basic Gray, Pool Party ink
Real Red, Very Vanilla, Pool Party card stock
Flashback dsp
Chevron folder
Hexagon Hive thinlit
itty bitty accents punches
Adorning accents edgelit

Never Too Much Happy

Today, I needed a card for a couple celebrating their 43rd anniversary and that couple happens to be my parents.  Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad!!

I chose to use some Flowerpot designer series paper as my background and added some basic rhinestones to each of the polka dots.  Then, I used some Crushed Curry chevron ribbon and Watercolor wonder washi tape for a couple more accents.

The sentiment is stamped on an Apothecary accent die cut.

Supplies:
Yippee Skippee, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Whisper White card stock
Basic gray ink
Flowerpot dsp
Apothecary accents framelits
basic rhinestones
Crushed Curry chevron ribbon

All About You!

I thought this saying was pretty perfect for a congratulations card for my brother last weekend.  He won a lifetime achievement award from North Dakota's advertising association and considering he is only 38, that is pretty impressive.  Of course, his family did not have a clue about all the awards he has won or how many positions he has held on various local, regional and national boards.

I chose to use the On Film framelits, some Silver glimmer paper and silver metallic ink since he was winning the Silver Medal.

I rubbed the camera framelit in the metallic ink to show off the textures a little better...

on the inside, I used Island Indigo ink and Sassy Salutations.

I tried to take a picture of his award, but the lighting was not very cooperative...

He was probably getting tired of smiling at this point of the night and I know Maddie was about ready to fall asleep on her feet, but she had a huge smile anyway.

Supplies:
Yippee Skippee
Sassy Salutations
Island Indigo, Basic Black, Whisper White, Silver Glimmer paper and card stock
Silver Metallic ink
Decorative dots folder
On film framelits
Hardware clips essentials
Basic metal buttons
Cherry Cobbler bakers twine

Happy Dots

Do you ever feel like your older stamp sets get ignored once you start to play with some from a new catalog?  I sure do!  One day I pulled out a few I have not used in quite awhile and decided to make at least one card with them.

This is the creation that came from the Delicate Doilies stamp set - I used gold metallic ink to stamp the smallest image in that set on the tag.

While I love the vellum papers, I usually try to find different ways to attach them to the card stock because I don't want my snail adhesive to show.  For this one, I used my crop-o-dile and punched a couple holes and then added my Coastal Cabana ruffle stretch trim.  (Tip - washi tape works awesome to hold down ribbon on the back of your projects!)

Supplies:
Yippee Skippee
Delicate Doilies
Island Indigo, Whisper White card stock
Fancy foil vellum - gold
Fresh Prints designer series paper
Metallic gold ink, Island Indigo ink
Angled tag topper punch
crop-o-dile
Coastal Cabana ruffle stretch ribbon

Watercolor Note Cards

I don't normally make note size cards, but since I just LOVE the Watercolor Wonder patterns in the Occasions catalog, I decided to try the note card package.  Over the next few days I will share with you the quick and easy cards I created with the package (and I do mean QUICK and EASY!).

A simple piece of card stock cut into a banner, a sentiment and mat and you have a beautiful note card to send to someone special!  The card on the right isn't any more difficult - just punch out a sentiment and add a strip of card stock, a Sweet Sorbet accessory flower and a candy dot!

Supplies:
Yippee Skippee
Smoky Slate, Calypso Coral ink
Daffodil Delight, Smoky Slate, Whisper White, Basic Gray card stock
Watercolor Wonder note cards

Never too Happy!

Back to the Regarding Dahlias stamp set again and another quick card that I added some washi tape and a fun sentiment to.

You can just stamp an entire sheet of Whisper White with the flower image and cut it down to make 4 quick cards like this.  The Gingham garden washi tape adds a little color and breaks up the image, but card stock or designer series paper would work just as well to give the same effect.

Supplies:
Regarding Dahlias
Yippee Skippee
Primrose Petals, Early Espresso ink
Marina Mist, Primrose Petals, Smoky Slate, Whisper White card stock

There is a little bit of My Digital Studio, Epic Day This and That designer series paper and Washi tape, hexagon punches and a sentiment from Yippee Skippee.

Hope she enjoys using it!

Yippee Skippee Birthday

My daughter was invited to a birthday party for a couple of boys that are in her class at school and their theme was mindcraft...well I don't know anything about mindcraft so I thought I would wing it with squares and textures...not sure how they liked them :)

I used the Pop 'n Cuts card base to start with and then added the Label Pop 'n Cuts inside with some Deco labels.

I used some My Paper Pumpkin stamps for backgrounds on the squares and also behind the sentiment.

In addition to Yippee Skippee, I used Bring on the Cake and Gorgeous Grunge.
