To a Great Friend

The Sale-a-bration stamp set Simply Wonderful has some really good sentiments and I used one for this card and punched it out with the Note Tag punch.

In addition, I used the Regarding Dahlias stamp set and some Stacked with Love and Birthday Bash designer series paper.

Dahlias

I realized I had not used my Regarding Dahlias stamp set in awhile so I pulled it out one day and played with it a little bit.  The two cards below show a the same image stamped on the same color of card stock with the same ink, but one is colored with blendabilities and one is left without any coloring.

On the top one, I used the Coastal Cabana blendabilities to color in the flower.  It pops it out a little, but since it is stamped on Old Olive card stock, it is more subtle than if it was on a lighter color.

This one is left alone and I just added a layer and some extras to it.  Which do you prefer?

Supplies:
Regarding Dahlias
Simply Wonderful
December Paper Pumpkin stamp
Coastal Cabana blendabilities
Memento Black ink
Bermuda Bay ink
Whisper White, Very Vanilla, Old Olive, Bermuda Bay, Blackberry Bliss card stock
Decorative dots folder
Decorative label punch
Vintage buttons
Linen thread

Celebrate Reading

A few weeks ago, I share some pictures with your from the PBS Reading Night my two youngest children had at school.  Today, I am sharing the scrapbook pages I put together with some pictures from that night.

On Maddie's, I used the stamp set Regarding Dahlias, some Gold Fancy Foil Vellum and Watercolor Wonder washi tape.  The designer series papers are from Gingham Garden and Etcetera.

When I stamped the dahlia on Very Vanilla, I sponged some Pistachio Pudding ink onto it before I cut it out.

For Wyatt's page, I chose Retro Fresh designer series paper and Off the Grid and Peach Keen stamp sets.

A few random silver basic buttons and another page complete!

Happy Dahlia

I think I tend to stay away using certain colors on a regular basis and the oranges are one of those.  In fact, I was planning to use the other side of the Retro Fresh designer series paper that is on this card, but at the last minute I changed my mind and I like the way it turned out.

There is some texture on the bottom layer created by the Honeycomb folder and then I added some linen thread around the dsp layer and just wrapped it around a few times.

Sometimes a this Dahlia image just needs to be cut out and popped up on the front of a card, LOL!  It really doesn't take that long to do it, but I wouldn't want to make a large swap like that!

Supplies:
Happy Day
Regarding Dahlia
Retro Fresh dsp
Coastal Cabana, Very Vanilla, Soft Suede card stock
Soft Suede ink

Wonderful Life

I have some more fun items from the Sweet Sorbet accessory kit on my cards that I will share with you today.  The twine in the kit is awesome and thick, but the cork pieces are fun too.  The images are printed in white on the cork and they are adhesive backed so you just grab one and stick it right on your project!

My two cards use the same saying and banner framelit, but have a little different layout and colors.  Each uses the Regarding Dahlias as a background with the image stamped in Strawberry Slush ink.

Supplies:
Perfect Pennants
Regarding Dahlias
Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Pistachio Pudding, Bermuda Bay card stock
Bermuda Bay, Strawberry Slush ink

Never too Happy!

Back to the Regarding Dahlias stamp set again and another quick card that I added some washi tape and a fun sentiment to.

You can just stamp an entire sheet of Whisper White with the flower image and cut it down to make 4 quick cards like this.  The Gingham garden washi tape adds a little color and breaks up the image, but card stock or designer series paper would work just as well to give the same effect.

Supplies:
Regarding Dahlias
Yippee Skippee
Primrose Petals, Early Espresso ink
Marina Mist, Primrose Petals, Smoky Slate, Whisper White card stock

Hello You note cards

It is the time of year to start thinking about little gifts for teachers and others who we like to show appreciation to during the holidays.  This little note card holder would be a fun little gift (and you could use cards instead of note cards inside if you wanted as well).

The basic folder is 7" x 10" and scored at 1" on the 7" side  and at 5" on the 10" side.

Everything Eleanor, Regarding Dahilas
