Watercolor Background

 

We are sticking with Be the Star again today for a different version, again using the stars as a background.  Using several different colors, I added stars on both the card base and the next layer before adding my sentiment over the top.

 

The sentiment layer is watercolor paper that has been colored with an aqua painter and some Marina Mist ink.

I always thought this greeting from Really Good Greetings was pretty versatile and have used it quite a bit.  For this card, I paired it with the flower image from Gifts of Kindness and some framelit pieces from Deco label framelits and Apothecary accents framelits.

 



 

While this is the last day of Sale-a-bration, I know I will continue to use the Decorative Dots folder for a long time - I think it is my favorite Sale-a-bration item this time around!  You can still earn one if you shop today!!

 

Everyday Occasions Card Kit Day 1

Sometimes it is great to be able to sit down in my stamp room with a kit that gives me pieces already cut and ready to go.  The Everyday Occasions card kit is a fun one to play with for that reason and I pulled it out the other day and made a couple cards that I will share with you today and tomorrow.

 

For this one, I actually didn't use any of the stamps in the kit, I substituted this greeting from Really Good Greetings instead and stamped it with Metallic silver ink.

 

 See that layer beneath the tea lace paper doily that is Tangerine Tango (I think) with arrows on it?  Yep, that is part of the packaging for the kit :) 

 

I will share another card tomorrow using the same kit, there are so many possibilities!!

Miss you!

 

Well, harvest is complete and I made it through without missing a blog post, but I am running low on samples so hopefully I can find some creative time really really soon!

I have two different cards for you today using the same layout, but with different sayings and stamp sets...

 

For the one above, I used Kind and Cozy and Positively Chevron as my stamp sets and on the one below, I used Kind and Cozy again for the circle image and Really Good Greetings for the sentiment.

I just love the designs with foil accents in the Winter Frost Specialty Designer Series paper packet and wanted to make a non-holiday card with some of it.

 

This one is super simple using the Deco Label framelits and the Really Good Greetings stamp set.

Wedding Shower Gift

 

One of our nieces is getting married this week and for her bridal shower, I gave her a

6 x 6 recipe scrapbook.  I thought I would share some of the pages (I forgot to take pictures and pulled her gift out of the bag at the shower before she arrived to take a couple, LOL!).

 

I used Off the Grid and Really Good Greetings for the background on this one and My Digital Studio for the recipe layer.

 

This one used a retired stamp set, texture plates and ribbon with the recipe printed from Word.

 

And the last three are all hybrid pages using My Digital Studio to print the recipe layer of the page.  The one above uses the Six Sided Sampler stamp set and below I used some I Am Me designer series paper.

 

Finally, I used some Modern Medley designer series paper and the Blue Ribbon stamp set.
