Gingham Birthday

I have a few more samples using the Piece of Cake bundle today (Piece of Cake stamp set and Cake builder punch).  This time behind the cake I used a piece of the Gingham Gala designer series paper that was punched out with the 2 1/2" circle punch.

I added small strips of either Floral Romance specialty paper or Grapefruit Grove foil sheets (SAB 2019) and some Gingham Gala adhesive backed sequins.  One of the cards also has a background of splotches stamped with Soft Sea Foam ink - this stamp is from the Lasting Lily (SAB 2019) stamp set.

Enjoy Every Crumb

There is some fun and colorful designer series paper in the Occasions catalog that coordinates well with the Piece of Cake bundle (stamp set and cake builder punch) called How Sweet it Is.  I chose to use two different patterns from that collection on this card along with the bundle.

The ribbon behind the punched out 2" Gray Granite circle is called Coastal Cabana/Granny Apple Green reversible ribbon and it is fun to work with.  I colored in my cake and base with markers and added a few Gingham gala adhesive backed sequins as a finishing touch.

Sweet Thoughts

One of the fun jar stamp sets that I tend to overlook is called Sharing Sweet Thoughts and I just love the little strawberries!  For this card I colored them in with my Stampin' Blends and added some images from Timeless Textures in the background.

The Early Espresso layer of card stock was cut using the Stitched Shapes framelits and I have also added a 2 1/2" circle that was punched out. The baker's twine just adds a little more texture and color.

Supplies:
Sharing Sweet Thoughts, Timeless Textures
Stampin' Blends
Memento Black, Wild Wasabi, Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake ink
Whisper White, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake card stock

Painted Autumn

For these cards, I played around with a couple different things using the same layout and colors.  The Pumpkin Pie background is embossed with the Polka Dot Basics folder and then I added some Painted Autumn designer series paper on one side.

Next, I stamped the leaves and cut them out with the paper snips before attaching them.  For the card on the left, I used the Oh So Eclectic stamp set and used my Stampin' Blends to color in the flower.  On the right, I used the Painted Harvest stamp set and Daffodil Delight, Peekaboo Peach and Soft Suede ink.

Supplies:
Painted Harvest, Oh So Eclectic, Big on Birthdays
Basic Black, Soft Suede, Daffodil Delight, Peekaboo Peach, Lemon Lime Twist ink
Stampin' Blends
Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Pumpkin Pie card stock
Starburst punch

No Place Like Home

I have found it interesting to show my sons the pages that I create to go into their scrapbooks, the reactions or lack thereof are not always what I would expect.  When they saw this layout that will go into Wyatt's book, Hunter immediately asked where his was!  Now I need to come up with something different but just as good for him :)

To make the home plate, I just cut angles from an 8 1/2" x 11" piece of Whisper White with my paper cutter.  Then I distressed the plate and the area around it using images in the Timeless Textures stamp set.

The stamped letters are from the Layering Letters and Welcome Words stamp sets and the "PR" is cut out using the Large Letters Framelits.

The baseball was punched with the 2 1/2" circle punch and I just free handed the stitched with a Real Red marker.

Supplies:
Layering Letters, Welcome Words, Timeless Textures
Crumb Cake, Basic Black, Real Red ink and markers
Lost Lagoon, Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Basic Black and Daffodil Delight card stock
2 1/2" circle punch
Large Letters framelits

Tap Tap Tap

I pulled out the Tap Tap Tap stamp set again for this card, using several of the images.  For the background I chose to use some Neutrals Color Collection designer series paper and then I added a little piece of Lost Lagoon card stock to break it up.

I stamped the typewriter on Crumb Cake card stock and then punched it out with the 2" circle punch before adding it with Stampin' dimensionals.

Supplies:

Early Espresso, Lost Lagoon ink
Crumb Cake, Lost Lagoon, Whisper White card stock

Endless Birthday Wishes

The Endless Birthday Wishes stamp set is one I haven't pulled out in quite awhile so the other day I decided to make a couple cards with it.  This is one of the ones I came up with, pairing it with some Sweet Li'l Things designer series paper.

I have mentioned before, the favorite part of this set for me is the font used for the words, I am not really sure why that is...

I punched out a 2" circle from some scraps of Tip Top Taupe card stock and stamped some confetti and the birthday cake on it.  Then I added a little color with some markers and basic rhinestones.

The Watermelon Wonder 1" dotted lace trim was cut in half the long way and added behind the circle.

Supplies:
Endless Birthday Wishes
Tip Top Taupe, Watermelon Wonder, Early Espresso, Pool Party ink
Pool Party, Tip Top Taupe, Very Vanilla card stock
Watermelon Wonder 1" dotted lace trim
2" circle punch

For the Bride

I made a few Bridal Shower cards showcasing the Simply Irresistible specialty paper (SAB 2015) and the Cheers to Love stamp set.  The lighting in the photo makes the specialty paper kind of difficult to see, I apologize for that, but it is the polka dot pattern from that collection that I have used on this card.

Supplies:
Cheers to Love
Baked Brown Sugar ink
Baked Brown Sugar, Crisp Cantaloupe, Whisper White card stock
Simply Irresistible specialty paper
Decorative dots folder
2 1/2" circle punch
Apothecary accents dies

The Grad Life Part 1

I recently made graduation announcements for one of our nephews which I will share sometime in the future, but in the process I started thinking about some table decorations in the same theme.  Today you will see one of them and tomorrow one more :)

They are both based on a digital download called The Grad Life which I used in Stampin' Up!'s My Digital Studio program.

I chose to use Pacific Point as the focal color on all the printed items and added some white, black and gold accents.

In the bottom of the jar, there are a few punched items (chevron border punch and itty bitty punches), some individual gold sequins that were made by taking apart the sequin trim, buttons, and cut confetti and diplomas and caps that were stamped and cut out.

I took two of the circles that were first printed and then punched (1 3/4" circle punch), put them together with dimensionals and added some baker's twine between them.  The baker's twine is wrapped around an antique brad that is stuck into the cork top of the jar so it holds it suspended.

Finally, I used some of the same baker's twine and wrapped it many times around the neck of the jar and then tied a bow.

It is a fairy simple thing to put together and you could really add anything you like to the inside or change the occasion idea as well.

I went with lots of layers on the sentiment on this card!  The bottom is one of the Delicate Doilies die cuts, the next a 1 3/4" circle, the Artisan label punch, the 1 1/4" scallop circle and finally the 7/8" scallop circle.

I alternated with Stampin' Dimensionals and Snail adhesive to put the layers together.

Yum Yum

I make a lot of sugar cookies with Stampin' Up!'s cookie stamps - my kids love to help and share them with their friends.

Here are a couple of fun ways to package them to give away...

The simplest way is to use a gusseted cellophane bag, tie it up with some baker's twine and add a stitched felt ornament

The kraft boxes are perfect for 3 - 5 cookies in a cello bag and they are so easy to decorate.  I just used some Festival of Prints dsp stack Scentsational Season stamp set to brighten this one up a little.  The cookies are in a gusseted cellophane bag and tied up with some ribbon.

Creative Happiness

This card uses some Orchard Harvest designer series paper, I must like that huh?  I have also used the Pursuit of Happiness and Creative Elements stamp sets and my ink colors are Wild Wasabi, Basic Black and Bravo Burgundy.

Around the edge of the scallop circle, I use the paper piercing tool and a template.

Hope you enjoy the card!
