No Place Like Home

I have found it interesting to show my sons the pages that I create to go into their scrapbooks, the reactions or lack thereof are not always what I would expect.  When they saw this layout that will go into Wyatt's book, Hunter immediately asked where his was!  Now I need to come up with something different but just as good for him :)

To make the home plate, I just cut angles from an 8 1/2" x 11" piece of Whisper White with my paper cutter.  Then I distressed the plate and the area around it using images in the Timeless Textures stamp set.

The stamped letters are from the Layering Letters and Welcome Words stamp sets and the "PR" is cut out using the Large Letters Framelits.

The baseball was punched with the 2 1/2" circle punch and I just free handed the stitched with a Real Red marker.

Supplies:
Layering Letters, Welcome Words, Timeless Textures
Crumb Cake, Basic Black, Real Red ink and markers
Lost Lagoon, Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Basic Black and Daffodil Delight card stock
2 1/2" circle punch
Large Letters framelits

Another Happy Year

I always seem to come across older school pictures that I have not put into a scrapbook while I am trying to reorganize my stamp room.  This picture is about 7 years old!

I used some pieces from the May 2016 Paper Pumpkin kit to complete this layout - the corrugated paper, die cut strip at the bottom and the negative parts of the "happy" sticker.

I chose the Welcome words stamp set and some Pop of Pink specialty paper to complete it.

Supplies:
Welcome Words
Basic Black ink
Basic Black, Pool Party card stock
May 2016 Paper Pumpkin kit
candy dots

Welcome Home

This is another card I made using some layers, it makes them difficult to take pictures of but I love the way they turn out.

I chose the Welcome Words stamp set and some Pretty Petals dsp and used Very Vanilla and Pool Party card stock along with it.

The designer series paper I used as the outer layer measures 5 1/2" x 6" and is scored at 4 1/4".  The inside layer of Very Vanilla is 8" x 5" and scored at 4".  The top layer of Pool Party is 4 1/2" x 2 1/2".

Supplies:
Welcome Words
Basic Black ink
Pool Party, Very Vanilla card stock

Welcome Baby

For this card, I was trying to use up some scraps of Sweet Li'l Things designer series paper that I had left from a card class.  For my stamp sets I chose Welcome words and Something for baby adding the safety pins in the background with that one.

I punched out my "baby" using the tree builder punch and added a little piece of ribbon with a safety pin through it for an accent.

Supplies:
Welcome Words, Something for Baby
Delightful Dijon, Pool Party, Tip Top Taupe ink
Tip Top Taupe, Very Vanilla, Pool Party card stock
Sweet Li'l Things dsp
vintage trinkets
tree builder punch
1" dotted lace trim

Happiness Is

Well, as I was trying to organize some parts of my stamp room I ran across some class pictures that had not made it to the scrapbook yet.

For this picture, I paired the It's My Party designer series paper with the Memories in the Making Project Life collection and also used the Welcome Words stamp set.

The "happiness" was already on the Project Life card and I stamped the "another" and "Year" using the Welcome Words set.  I added the "is" with my Project Life journaling pen.
