Other Plans

When I made this card, I started not really knowing what direction I was headed.  I think it turned out ok in the end though.

I used Naturals Composition specialty paper both to mat my sentiment and also as a layer behind it.

The design behind the sentiment is from Creative Elements and it is stamped in Crumb Cake ink.

Supplies:
Full of Life, Creative Elements
Midnight Muse and Crumb Cake ink
Midnight Muse, Crumb Cake card stock and Naturals Composition specialty paper
Raspberry Ripple stitched satin ribbon
in color dahlias
Chevron folder

Oh, Hello Notes

Today's creation is a folder filled with note cards all of which are very easy to recreate.  The folder is made from Naturals Composition specialty paper cut to 10" x 7 1/2".  I scored it at 5" on the longer side and 1 1/2" on the shorter side, cut the 1 1/2" up to the score line on the 5" score and used sticky strip to make pockets.

One tip if you are stamping on the paper doilies...wait until one ink is dry before you stamp over it.  I didn't quite wait long enough after stamping the sentiment before I stamped the background image.

The folder holds 6 note cards that are 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" and have 2 layers - Raspberry Ripple for the base and Whisper White for the top.

The note cards were stamped with the Everything Eleanor and Creative Elements stamp sets using Primrose Petals and Crumb Cake ink.

Celebrate

This is one of my favorite color combinations and I know I go back to it a lot with any shade of browns and pinks.  For this one, I used Soft Suede, Crumb Cake and Pink Pirouette.

Behind the flower I used one of the Delicate Doilies die cuts - when you use it behind something like this you don't have to worry if all the little pieces have come out :)

Supplies:
Fabulous Phrases, Hello Doily, and Creative elements stamp sets
Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla card stock
Soft Suede and Pink Pirouette classic ink
basic pearls
Beau Chateau fabric
vintage trinkets
Delicate Doilies sizzlit
1 3/4" circle punch

Creative Happiness

This card uses some Orchard Harvest designer series paper, I must like that huh?  I have also used the Pursuit of Happiness and Creative Elements stamp sets and my ink colors are Wild Wasabi, Basic Black and Bravo Burgundy.

Around the edge of the scallop circle, I use the paper piercing tool and a template.

Hope you enjoy the card!

A Sympathy Card

This card in one that I put together using mostly scraps that were on my table.  I used the Loving Thoughts and Creative Elements stamp sets and combined them with some Naturals Composition paper, Subtles dsp stack and some retired dsp.

I chose Crumb Cake, Pool Party, Pretty in Pink and Certainly Celery for the card stock colors and used Crumb Cake and Pool Party as my ink colors.

Have a wonderful day!

Thanks so much

Another Artisan Award contest entry using the Creative Elements stamp set and some homemade color spritz.

The flowers have 3 and 4 layers separated by dimensionals and were not colored in, but spritzed with a mixture of Regal Rose re-inker, alcohol and Champagne shimmer mist.

February Stamp Club

The first card this month is a CASE of one done by Dawn Olchefske that I changed just slightly.

This is another Z fold card that is very simple and quick to put together using Crumb Cake and Wisteria Wonder.

And finally the layout for the month showcaseing Sale-a-bration items.  I used the Fresh Vintage stamp set and Everyday Enchantment designer series paper.

Creative Elements BFF

This week I am going to share some cards that I made at a retreat last weekend while I was trying to use up some of my scraps or pieces of card stock that I had already die cut or stamped.

The first one is inspired by one I found blog hopping and I have lost the person's name...if it is you please let me know so I can give you credit!!

I used some faux mother of pearl background (I made a bunch of pages of this so you will see more of this technique as it is one of my favorites) and the Creative elements and Best Friends Forever stamp sets.

I layered the flower with dimensionals and added a few pearls to the top layer.

Supplies:
Creative elements, Best Friends Forever
Peach Parfait, Pumpkin Pie, Very Vanilla and Crumb Cake card stock
Peach Parfait, Early Espresso and Crumb Cake classic ink
dimensionals
champagne shimmer paint
basic pearls

Creative Christmas

It seems I am on a Christmas theme this week although it wasn't planned!  I had scheduled a bunch of posts because we have been harvesting potatoes and I am happy to say we finished last night!  Now off to the combine for soybeans :)

I combined Creative Elements and Come to Bethlehem for this card and also used a color I rarely pull out - Bravo Burgundy.

The  background impression is created by using the Petals a Plenty impressions folder and of course I had to add some of those wonderful pearls.  In addition to the Bravo Burgundy I used Soft Suede and Very Vanilla.

Creative Elements birthday

I tried a color on color card today and it actually didn't turn out how I planned in the beginning, but I think I like it anyway.

I used a Rich Razzleberry Base and the second layer is the same color, but I ran it through the Big Shot and the Vintage Wallpaper impressions folder.

The tag is from the Two Tags die and the little banner is from the Petal cone die.  So Saffron and Certainly Celery are the other two colors I went with and the tag is Confetti White.

Supplies:
Creative Elements
Bring on the Cake
Rich Razzleberry, So Saffron, Certainly Celery, Confetti White card stock
Rich Razzleberry classic ink

Blue Butterflies

Another Late Night Stampers "thinking of you" in blue sample for the week.  This time I used the Creative Elements stamp set along with Bashful Blue, Not Quite Navy and Baja Breeze.

The ink colors are Bashful Blue and Not Quite Navy and I added some Vanilla seam binding and basic pearls to give it some texture.

CCMC161 and TSSC185

I am doing a little multitasking today with the card I am sharing with you.  I combined Mary Jo's sketch with the Create with Connie and Mary color challenge.

I used the Creative Elements stamp set and on the background I colored the images in with Daffodil Delight and Old Olive.

The ribbon is the retired pom pom trim ribbon in Daffodil Delight and I layered it on top of Basic Black and Old Olive card stock that I punched with the eyelet border punch.

The flower I stamped 3 times with Basic Black ink on Whisper White card stock and then used a sponge to add color and cut out the layers, adhering them with dimensionals.

Supplies:
Creative elements stamp set
Daffodil Delight, Basic Black, Old Olive card stock and inks
Whisper White card stock
pom pom trim ribbon - Daffodil Delight
Vintage wallpaper impressions folder
dimensionals
basic rhinestones
eyelet border punch

Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede card stock
Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Cherry Cobbler classic ink
