Need for Speed

This week I am going to share a couple different samples made with the Need for Speed stamp set.  The first one features the car image and is a very quick and easy card to put together.

The background images are from the Extreme Elements stamp set and are stamped in Pear Pizzazz ink.

I also included a little strip of Island Indigo that I ran through the Big Shot using the stripes impressions folder.  On top of that is a Pool Party star with a designer brad.

Supplies:
Need for Speed, Extreme Elements, Grunge Rock
Very Vanilla, Pool Party, Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade card stock
Pear Pizzazz and Island Indigo classic ink
Big Shot
Stripes impressions folder
star punch
designer brads

February Stamp Club

The first card this month is a CASE of one done by Dawn Olchefske that I changed just slightly.

This is another Z fold card that is very simple and quick to put together using Crumb Cake and Wisteria Wonder.

And finally the layout for the month showcaseing Sale-a-bration items.  I used the Fresh Vintage stamp set and Everyday Enchantment designer series paper.

CCMC155 and Color Inspiration 159

I decided to combine a couple challenges on this card using the Create with Connie and Mary sketch and the Stamping 411 color combination.

I used Extreme Skateboard, Grunge Rock and Extreme Elements stamp sets and the Perfect Polka Dots impressions folder, 3" circle die and the scallop oval frame die.

Normally, I would stamp before I use and impressions folder, but this time I did it afterward.  I also used some of the Presto Patterns specialty paper and sponged it with Not Quite Navy before I folded and stapled for a different look.

CCMC 146 color Challenge

Create with Connie and Mary has a color challenge this week - Real Red, Pumpkin Pie and Pacific Point.  I love using bright colors on boy cards and my son's love cards using the "Extreme" stamps on page 88 and 89 of the Idea Book and Catalog.  I got the color spritzer tool out again for as a final touch for this one.

Supplies:
Extreme Skateboard, Extreme Elements and Happy for you stamp sets
Pacific Point, Real Red, Pumpkin Pie classic ink and card stock
Whisper White card stock
brights buttons
Pacific Point ribbon (I cut a strip off the edge and threaded it through the button)

Extreme Snowboard

Baby it's cold outside...our Late Night Stampers theme this week and I thought this would qualify :)  My boys (8 and 7) love it because of the snowboarder, they love to ride down the little hill their dad pushed up for them outside as often as possible.

Colors:
Whisper White, Early Espresso, Baja Breeze, Crumb Cake, Pear Pizazz
Extreme Snowboard, Extreme Elements and Grunge Rock stamp sets
dotted scallop ribbon border punch

The lines on the image initially were an accident.  I dropped my ink pad on the card stock after I stamped the snowboarder and it made a line from the side of the pad.  So I went with it and added more lines using the edge of my ink pad and I kind of like the effect.
