Paired with a Punch

At Late Night Stampers this week we are pairing stamp sets with punches so I pulled out the Four Frames stamp set and my Decorative Label punch.

My sentiment is from the Friendly Phrases stamp set and I added a retired corduroy button for an accent.

The background is made with several different designer series papers - Fan Fair, Parker's Patterns, and Naturals Composition specialty paper.  I embossed the Early Espresso layer with the Vintage wallpaper folder.

Come on over and join us - you can see what the design team created here.

Happy Day

I am sharing a couple cards that are pretty similar to each other, both made with leftovers that I had used for other projects.  Sometimes that makes putting cards together easier and sometimes it makes it a lot harder trying to figure out how to use the pieces.

The first one uses a sentiment from Friendly Phrases along with images from Oh Hello and some Tea for Two dsp.

The second only uses the Oh Hello stamp set and once again the Tea for Two dsp.  I haven't been the biggest fan of Calypso Coral, but I have been trying to make myself use it more especially since it will be part of the color renovation coming up.

Baby Prints

I was working on some card orders last week and replenishing my own stock of cards at the same time.  These are a couple baby ones I came up with using Baja Breeze for the boy card and Pink Pirouette for the girl one.

The saying comes from Friendly Phrases and I used Baby prints for the hands and Distressed Dots for the background.

I just added a 3/4" scrap behind the labels framelit to break up the background a little bit.  Simple cards, but I like the way they turned out.

Tea Cups

My Morning Cup stamp set hasn't been used in awhile so I pulled it out for this card.  Again, scraps of designer series paper - Festival of Prints and First Edition are the base of this card.

I stamped on both the base of the card and on some other scraps of dsp with the tea cups and cut out a few of the tea cups and pasted them onto the card.

The sentiment is from Friendly Phrases and I added a little bit of 1 1/4" striped grosgrain ribbon that I cut apart.

Baby Feet

This is a super quick and easy baby card that I put together.  I used Pretty in Pink, Raspberry Ripple and Very Vanilla card stock and ink.

The stamp sets are Friendly Phrases and Baby Prints.  I added some Basic Rhinestones and the background was made with the dotted scallop ribbon punch.

Simply Wonderful

Our Late Night Stampers Challenge this week is to use paper piercing on our projects.  One of my non winning Artisan Award projects included that element so I thought I would share it today.

I pierced around the Peach Parfait and then added some white gel pen for a faux stitched look.

The Pool Party and Wisteria Wonder on the inside were embossed with the Stripes impressions folder.

The card uses a lot of little elements and texture, mostly made from scraps.

More Stamp A Stack cards

These are the final two cards I used in my Stamp A Stack last week.  The first uses the upcoming Sale-a-bration designer series paper called Everyday Enchantment along with the Love and Sympathy stamp set.  It is a Z fold card and was actually very quick and simple to make.

The last card is one I CASED from Maureen Merritt and altered slightly.  I just love her cards!!

The stamp sets used on this one are Just Believe and Friendly Phrases.

Black embossing powder
Very Vanilla, Old Olive and Basic Black card stock
1 1/4" striped black grosgrain ribbon

Some more shine!

Well, last week I completed Mary Jo's sketch challenge and didn't get it posted so this week I am one step ahead of that!

I used versamark on my embossing folder and then after I ran the Crumb Cake through it I used Black embossing powder and heated it up.  It didn't turn out quite the way I had hoped, but I will keep trying!!

Supplies:
Friendly phrases
Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Basic Black card stock
Holly Berry Bouquet specialty paper
Red Glimmer paper
Basic Black classic ink
versamark
black embossing powder
Vintage Wallpaper impressions folder
curly label punch
modern label punch
 rosette
rhinestone brads
sponge
5/8" red grosgrain ribbon
dimensionals

The oval of red glimmer paper is actually not a punch, it is the middle of the "O" left over from die cutting using the Serif Essentials alphabet die.
