Lots of Thanks

I chose to use all the thank you sayings from the stamp set Lots of Thanks for the background on this card.  I mounted them on the largest block and stamped them all together using Pear Pizzazz ink.

The rest of the elements came together as I found them in my leftover stash!

Canvas Sympathy

I haven't played around too much with the Canvas Creations (129375) product a whole lot, but I did use some on this card and really liked working with it.

My Crumb Cake ink pad was applied directly to the Canvas and I swiped it across until I had the coverage I wanted.  To speed up the drying time, I used my Heat Tool (129053) and then stamped my Everything Eleanor (124164) image and Loving Thoughts (125845) sentiment with Always Artichoke.

Supplies:
Everything Eleanor, Loving Thoughts
Crumb Cake, Always Artichoke classic ink
More Mustard, Always Artichoke, Cherry Cobbler card stock
Cherry Cobbler seam binding
Linen thread
Antique Brads

Masculine Thanks

I wanted to make some masculine thank you cards for my son, Wyatt, to use when he said thank you for the 1st Communion and Confirmation gifts he received last week.

The first one uses the Dude, You're Welcome thank you stamp as well as some dsp from the same kit.  I added a silver designer button and some Soho Subway dsp scraps to complete it.

The second card uses some retiring dsp from the Fan Fair collection and I used the Vintage Verses (SAB) stamp set.  The colors are Soft Suede and Bravo Burgundy and I embossed the Bravo Burgundy layer with the Vintage Wallpaper folder (one of my favorites!!).

Tags and More Tags

At Late Night Stampers this week, our challenge is to use retiring colors in our projects.  While these tags don't all use retiring colors, there are a few in there.

The first one is made of layered labels and I used Pink Pirouette, Regal Rose (retiring color), Crumb Cake, Early Espresso and Soft Suede as my colors.  The stamp sets are Everything Eleanor and Just Believe (also retiring).

On the second one, I used some Polka Dot Parade dsp, Real Red card stock and Marina Mist ink with the Quintessential Flower stamp.  It can be hung on a gift bag with some Essentials Designer Fabric (retiring).  The Two Tags die that was used to cut this tag out is also retiring :(  I use that one so much!

The last one has a base of Lucky Limeade (retiring) and the star is punched out of Not Quite Navy (retiring).  I embossed the base with the Vintage Wallpaper folder (retiring) and added some Print Poetry designer paper, a silver designer button and a decorative label punched sentiment from Word Play (retiring).

While I will really miss a lot of the retiring colors and products, I look forward to the new things we can soon play with!

Hope you play along with us this week!

Paired with a Punch

At Late Night Stampers this week we are pairing stamp sets with punches so I pulled out the Four Frames stamp set and my Decorative Label punch.

My sentiment is from the Friendly Phrases stamp set and I added a retired corduroy button for an accent.

The background is made with several different designer series papers - Fan Fair, Parker's Patterns, and Naturals Composition specialty paper.  I embossed the Early Espresso layer with the Vintage wallpaper folder.

Remember When

The Late Night Stampers challenge this week involves the Sale-a-bration goodies!  I have two cards to share with you using the same stamp set - Feeling Sentimental, although remember I said I wasn't committed to it so I was using it digitally?  These images are still digital ones, but I have since purchased the set :)

I embossed the sentiment from Word Play with Gold embossing powder and added some Sprinkles and Sunshine dsp and Naturals designer buttons.  The Early Espresso layer is embossed with the Cloudy Day folder.

These cards are also digital except for the sentiment which comes from Lacy and Lovely.  I used Pool Party and Basic Gray as my colors and the dsp is from the Simply Scrappin' Kit called Afternoon Daydream.

The embossing on the two cards above was done with the Vintage Wallpaper and Honeycomb folders.

Hope you come and play along with us!

Scentsational Cup

The stamps in the Scentsational Season set do not always need to be used for Christmas cards.  For this one, I created a Thinking of you one (sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes) using the coffee mug and steam stamps.

The designer paper is from the Festival of Prints dsp pack (love this!) and I added a label collection framelit in Night of Navy that I embossed with the Vintage wallpaper folder.

The base of the card is Very Vanilla and I used Cherry Cobbler and Soft Suede classic ink.

Just For You

Another Artisan Award entry card today, this one using the Just Believe stamp set.  I started with Faux Mother of Pearl on the inside panel and the two pieces on the front with stamped images.  Before I stamped them, I added some Pear Pizzazz spritz and then stamped with Soft Suede.

For the background I used the Vintage wallpaper folder and then started sprizting with Silver smooch spritz and Vanilla shimmer smooch spritz that I added a few drops of Soft Suede reinker to; next, I added some Pear Pizzazz spritz.

Vintage Thanks

Today I have another sample using our sketch for Late Night Stampers using the same colors and designer paper as the last sample.

For this card, I flipped the sketch and used pleated ribbon instead of a border punch and embossed my background with the Vintage Wallpaper impressions folder.

I had a couple of the flower accents left and added them to the squares on the side and I modified the modern label punch a little bit for the sentiment.

New Clearance Rack items!

Stampin' Up! has just added lots of great new items on the clearance rack - punches, fabric, albums and so much more!  You can check out the new items by clicking on the picture below.

This is another Lovely as a tree card I did with some background sponging and is just one layer with a little embossed strip on the side.

The sentiment is from Sincere Salutations and I used Early Espresso, Garden Green and Bashful Blue inks on the card.
