Vintage Verses

 

That time of year is coming up when we get awesome FREE stuff from Stampin' Up!  Sale-a-bration is right around the corner and I have a little preview for you using the Vintage Verses stamp set.

 

 

I used the postage stamp punch to make my little banner corner on the sentiment piece.

Wishing You...

 

My middle child was 9 on Tuesday and this is the card I made for him using a leftover number from the Snowflake Season Simply Scrappin' Kit, a tag from the Two Tags die and some dsp from the Festival of Prints pack.

 

 

I added a sentiment from the Wacky Wishes stamp set and on my Cherry Cobbler layer under the tag, I used the Simply Scored Borders Scoring Plate (Occasions Mini catalog).

 

I made another version that doesn't have a number on it as well and just added a scallop circle that I embossed with the Honeycomb folder and a Cherry Cobbler button on top of it.

Tag Greeting

Another Christmas card to share with you today using a tag from the Two Tags die as the focal point.  I added a snowflake from the Snow Flurry die and a doily from the Delicate Doilies sizzlit along with some Festival of Prints dsp.

 

 

The background is Gumball Green that has been embossed with the Honeycomb folder and my sentiment is from Greetings of the Season and is in Cherry Cobbler.

Gift Card holders

 

The Late Night Challenge this week is Gift Card Holders, I know I use lots of them!  The first one is made with a sheet of dsp from the Festival of Prints stack. 

 

 

You only cut 1/2" off the short side so the paper is just about perfect for this one!

 

6 1/2" x 4" dsp

score at 1" and 3 3/4"

Place adhesive on the sides of the 1" flap and attach to the base to make a pocket.

I added part of the 1/2" strip I cut off the dsp to the inside for decoration.

 

The second gift card holder I know you have seen all over and I am not sure who developed the idea.  They are fun and easy to put together as well!

 

 

Delicate Doilies Birthday two ways

 

I decided it had been awhile since I pulled out my Delicate Doilies stamp set and came up with these two versions of the same basic card.

 

 

On the top I used some Festival of Prints dsp stack paper and some pearls to accent.

 

 

On this card, I added some retired ribbon along with some Victoria crochet trim and pearls.  I also punched one edge and pierced a border that I outlined with a marker. 

 

While neither one is what I had in my head when I started, I think they both

 turned out ok.

Sparkle and Shine

 

Another Late Night Stampers Challenge card for you - this week the challenge is Christmas projects with sparkle.

 

 

I saved a piece of Champagne glimmer paper that I cut with the Snow Flurry die and then used the Circle clear die to cut around it.  There is also a layer of Core'dinations Early Espresso behind the circle.

Quilted Scraps

More scraps today!  I put some together on a piece of card stock and ran it through the Big Shot with the Square lattice folder to make it look quilted. 

 

 

I cut out an ornament using the Holiday ornament framelits and added a smaller one cut from the Champagne glimmer paper and then hung if with some tulle ribbon.

 

I punched an itty bitty shape from Cherry Cobbler and put it behind the Vintage Faceted designer button.

 

The sentiment is from Seasonal Sayings and can also be ordered as an individual stamp.

Useful Scraps

 

 I found this card on Pinterest and thought it would be great for scraps of dsp!  If you click on the photo, it will take you to the original post.

 

 

I used scraps from Festival of Prints for mine and added some pearls, rhinestones, glitter brads and other brads.

 

 

The background is Cherry Cobbler embossed with the Lacy Brocade folder and I added a bow of linen thread and a star cut out with the Holiday collection framelits.

 

 

My sentiment ended up on the inside because I didn't feel like there was a place for it on the front.

Musical Ornament card

 

When I made this card, I wasn't quite sure the direction I was headed and truthfully I feel like there is still something missing. 

 

 

I used the Music notes wheel and some designer series paper from the Festival of Prints stack.  There are three ornaments that have been folded and glued together to form a 3d ornament and I used some retired ribbon as my hanger.

 

The sentiment comes from Teen Tiny Wishes.

 

Scentsational Cup

 

The stamps in the Scentsational Season set do not always need to be used for Christmas cards.  For this one, I created a Thinking of you one (sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes) using the coffee mug and steam stamps.

 

 

The designer paper is from the Festival of Prints dsp pack (love this!) and I added a label collection framelit in Night of Navy that I embossed with the Vintage wallpaper folder.

 

The base of the card is Very Vanilla and I used Cherry Cobbler and Soft Suede classic ink.

 

Button Christmas

You will have to forgive me if I have posted this already, my mind gets a little fuzzy from lack of sleep during harvest.  Fortunately the end is in sight! 

 The is a super quick card using Festival of Prints dsp and Wacky Wishes stamp set.  I added a labels collection framelit cut out and some buttons and put it all on Crumb Cake card stock. 

Tea Cups

 

My Morning Cup stamp set hasn't been used in awhile so I pulled it out for this card.  Again, scraps of designer series paper - Festival of Prints and First Edition are the base of this card. 

 

 

I stamped on both the base of the card and on some other scraps of dsp with the tea cups and cut out a few of the tea cups and pasted them onto the card.

 

The sentiment is from Friendly Phrases and I added a little bit of 1 1/4" striped grosgrain ribbon that I cut apart.

Christmas in the Heart

This week at Late Night Stampers, we have a challenge called Too Cool to Use.  I haven't tried out the Festival of Prints designer series paper stack yet so today that is my "tool cool to use" item.

This is a simple card that uses two patterns from that stack along with the Heart of Christmas single stamp and the Woodgrain Folder and the Oval Accent Clear Bigz Die.

I added a little Victoria crochet trim and an antique brad for an accent.  The card stock colors are Very Vanilla, Soft Suede, Lucky Limeade and Cherry Cobbler.
