Oh, Happy Day!

Happy Mother's Day!
While this isn't a Mother's Day card that I am sharing today, I thought the sentiment would be ok for the day!!

I used some of the stitched garland that comes in the Bermuda Bay Celebration Add on Kit over the top of some of the designer series paper that comes in the same kit.

Supplies:
Starburst Sayings
Daffodil Delight ink
Smoky Slate, Whisper White card stock
Starburst framelits
Chevron folder
Bermuda Bay celebration add on kit

Happy Day!

In the last year or so, I have gone from 2 page layouts to 1 page for most things I scrapbook.  If the event is one with tons of pictures, I will do the 2 page layout once in awhile though.

For this layout, I used a piece of Color Me Autumn designer series paper as my background and added a strip of it to the front as well.

My title is from Starburst sayings and is cut out with the Starburst framelit.  I added some stamped images from Kinda Eclectic and Truly Grateful as well.

Supplies:
Starburst sayings, Truly Grateful, Kinda Eclectic
Blackberry Bliss, Lost Lagoon, Hello Honey ink
Blackberry Bliss, Lost Lagoon, Mossy Meadow card stock
Color me Autumn dsp
Hodgepodge clips

Confetti and Retro Fresh

On this card, I used some Confetti Celebrations designer series paper and Retro Fresh washi tape on Strawberry Slush card stock.  The combination adds some fun patterns to the background of the card.

The sentiment is from Starburst Sayings and is stamped in Pool Party ink.  Instead of using the Starburst framelits to cut it out, I used the 2 1/2" circle punch to create some white space around the saying.

Supplies:
Starburst sayings
Pool Party ink
Whisper White, Strawberry Slush card stock
Confetti celebrations dsp
Retro fresh washi tape
2 1/2" circle punch

Happy Box

From time to time I see opportunities to donate door prizes for fundraisers, etc. and usually like to put together a basket of cards or a premade scrapbook.  It is fun to use different things to put the cards into instead of a just a basket and I found this wooden box in the dollar section at a store I shop at often.

I decided to use the Flashback designer series paper to decorate the sides and matted it on Real Red card stock.  The, I wrapped some thick baker's twine around it three times and added a Starburst Sayings sentiment that was die cut with the Starburst framelits.

Again, it is matted on Real Red card stock and I added a 2014-2016 In Color clothespin for a little fun.

Supplies:
Starburst Sayings
Pool Party ink
Real Red, Very Vanilla card stock
Flashback dsp
Thick baker's twine
Starburst framelits
2014-2016 In color clothespins

Oh Happy Day!

Another paper mache project to share today, this time it is a book box that I converted into a card box.  This was a really fun project to put together - I might have to pick up another book box  and do it again with a different theme!

I decided to go with the colors in the Gingham Garden designer series paper and also used the washi tape to cover the raised edges on the side of the "book".

To decorate the cover, I used another spiral flower die and some dazzling details along with an Elegant butterfly and sentiment from Starburst Sayings.

This is what the whole ensemble looks like, cards and all.  Each of the cards have a different feel while they all contain Starburst Sayings and Framelits images.

Lots of layers, designer series paper and some fun things to embellish are included on all the cards in the box.

The one below might have become a little too busy...

Hello Kitty...?

Our Late Night Stampers Challenge right now is punch art and I have to admit that is not something I like to play with because I am not very good at it.  In fact, if I didn't tell you in the title what my punch art was, I am not sure you would even know, LOL!

For the Hello Kitty punch art piece, I used the Extra Large Oval for the head, 5 petal flower (retired) for the ears, small heart and itty bitty shapes circle for the bow, owl punch for the eyes and the angled tag topper punch for the nose.

Maybe the whiskers should be longer?  Oh well, I will stick to things I am better at I think! Come over and see the rest of the team's samples and join in the challenge

Starburst in Gumball

Back to the Starburst Sayings bundle again!  This time it is a super simple card that has just a few layers to make it interesting.

I stamped the sentiment image with Gumball Green and cut it out with the Starburst Framelit and then used a smaller image to randomly stamp with Midnight Muse ink on the Crumb Cake card stock.  Quick, easy and cheery!

Supplies:
Starburst Sayings
Crumb Cake, Midnight Muse, Whisper White card stock

Oh Happy Day!

On this card, I used a few things that I rarely use - Tempting Turquoise card stock and Gumball Green ink.  I wanted to use some bright colors for my first card using the Starburst Sayings stamp set and coordinating Starburst Framelits so I thought I would try this combination.

In the center of the smallest starbursts, I added a 1/2" circle punched from the Gold Fancy Foil Vellum package and placed all the pieces on some Basic Black card stock that was embossed with the Decorative Dots folder.

Supplies:
Starburst Sayings
Gumball Green ink
Tempting Turquoise, Basic Black, Whisper White card stock
Gold Fancy Foil Vellum
