Better Days

The Split Textures dies are so much fun to play around with! This card recently became a part of my stamp a stack options and it uses a pattern from the designer series paper collection from Sale-a-bration called Favored Flowers. 

The circle is made with the Layering Circles dies and I have added some Opaque Adhesive Backed Gems for accents. The ink colors, with the exception of Soft Suede are retired - Sweet Sugarplum and Rococo Rose.

Better Days Ahead

Sometimes it is fun to add to the card base by stamping images and then tying them in to the focal layer.  That is what I did with this card using the splatters in the Color and Contour stamp set. I chose Balmy Blue and Pool Party inks and used the same stamp image for both.

The flower image is stamped with Evening Evergreen and filled in with Fresh Freesia while the sentiment is stamped with Gorgeous Grape ink.

Absolutely Amazing

For this card, I paired a couple differently colored patterns of designer series paper from the Expressions in Ink collection with the Color and Contour stamp set. 

In the background, I used Polished Pink, Pale Papaya and Bumblebee ink to add some random images and then added the Evening Evergreen and designer series paper layer over the top. The glimmer paper is from last year's Sale-a-bration and the sentiment is punched out using the Label me Lovely punch.

Triangle Corners

I had die cut a bunch of stitched triangles awhile back and never used them on any project for some reason so while at a retreat recently I went through my die cut box and pulled them out.  What you see below is the result...

There are flowers and splatters stamped using the Color and Contour stamp set and the sentiment is stamped with the Celebrate You stamp set. I tried out a couple different colors for the card bases, using Very Vanilla and Highland Heather.

Contours Birthday

A few weeks ago one of my nieces had a birthday and this is the card I put together for her using the Color and Contour Bundle. I had to add a little sparkle for her so I used a strip of the Be Dazzling 6 x 6 specialty paper from Sale-a-bration and some Fine Art ribbon.

The layers are die cut using the Scalloped contours dies and the designer paper in the background is from the hostess set called Pattern Party.  The speckles in the background and the flower image are stamped with the Color and Contour stamp set and the sentiment is from the Turtle and Friends set.

A simple card can still have many layers (at least in my mind!) and this one uses several layers and patterns.  

There are two of the newest In Colors featured on this card - Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen.  I have chosen patterns in the designer series paper collection called Pansy Petals with these colors along with the card stock and ink.

Amazing

I made some cards for teachers this spring using the Picture This dies and Color and Contour stamp set.  I chose to use the circles that were die cut out of the card stock rather than the piece left with the circles cut out of it (see the picture at the bottom for an idea 

using that piece).

The designer series paper patterns are from the retired Playful Palette collection which was a 6" x 6" set.  The sentiment is mounted on some coordinating Calypso Coral card stock.

It is always fun to work with the new In Colors when they come out in the Idea Book and Catalog and to match the new designer series paper collections with the new colors.

This card uses the Color and Contour stamp set for the sentiment on a die cut made with the Stitched Rectangles dies.  The two pieces of designer series paper are from the Pansy Petals collection and are mounted on Evening Evergreen card stock.  The base of the card and the ink color are Polished Pink and I added some Pale Papaya and white ribbon for an accent.

This is a simple card that uses a couple different stamp sets along with the Beauty of the Earth designer series paper.

The branch image is from the Etched in Nature stamp set and the sentiment is from the Color and Contour stamp set.  This is a quick and easy card layout that could easily be upgraded using more layers and some embellishments.

Picture This

One day I played around with the Picture This dies quite a bit making some scrapbook layouts and cards.  This card is one that came from that creative session pairing the dies with the Color and Contour stamp set.

To start with, I took some retired Misty Moonlight cards stock and used the stitched circles die to cut out what you see on the front of the card, it is one single die that makes all those circles...The sentiment layer is die cut using the other die in the package.

Then, I added some Hand Penned designer series paper behind it and added the rest of the elements.

Simple Thank You

Sometimes it is nice to make a simple one layer card and that is what I did the first time I pulled out the Color and Contour stamp set from the new catalog.

I used three of the new In Color inks - Polished Pink, Pale Papaya, and Soft Succulent along with Daffodil Delight.  There is also a self adhesive 2021-2023 In Color Jewel added to the middle of the flower image.
