Sweet Sixteen

Yesterday my baby turned 16 and this is the card I put together for her using some upcoming products along with a few retired ones.

For the stamp sets, I used the upcoming Sale-a-bration set called Friendly Hello, along with the matching Friendly Hello designer series paper, and the retired Milestone Moments. I cut out the words with a paper snips in order to separate them and popped them up with Stampin' dimensionals. 

There is a strip of 6" x 6" Be Dazzling specialty paper (retired SAB) along the side, a piece of White Frayed ribbon and some Iridescent Rhinestones - both of which will be in the upcoming mini catalog.

I will get away from the Tranquil Textures designer series paper today to show you a simple card made with the Sweet Soiree specialty paper which is in the Occasions catalog. 

For the background I decided to use two different patterns of the paper, one with silver foil accents and one without and they are matted on So Saffron card stock.  The sentiment is from the Milestone Moments stamp set and the ink color is Melon Mambo.

This  card is another example of using some of the Brusho crystals altered Glossy white card stock I messed around with awhile back.  I will have another sample with the same colored background later this week, both of which are good for masculine cards.  

I used my Memento Black ink and the Petal Palette stamp set to add some images to the Glossy card stock and then used the Milestone Moments stamp set for the sentiment.  I have found that I like to use the tear and tape adhesive to attach the altered  card stock to the layer beneath it because it rolls up on the corners just a little and this adhesive will hold it down quite well.

Anniversary Stars

Today I have another anniversary card to share with you that uses some current items along with a few retired favorites.  I started with a piece of Wild Wasabi that was embossed with the Oh My Stars folder and added some Year of Cheer specialty paper and Glitter tape to it.  

Then, on my sentiment layer, I stamped some images from the Background Bits stamp set with Silver metallic ink and the sentiment from Milestone Moments in Elegant Eggplant.

14!

Last week we celebrated another December birthday at our house, my middle child's 14th birthday.  He is also officially the tallest person in the house and makes me feel really short!!

I decided to use the Number of Years stamp set for his card and paired it with the Milestone Moments and Timeless Textures stamp sets as well.  There is also some white baker's twine and a small piece of the Bubbles and Fizz designer series paper from the Sale-a-bration 2018 catalog.

On the inside I stamped the number fourteen again and added another sentiment.

Milestone Moments Birthday

My daughter recently had a birthday and I wanted a fun card for her.  She always saves the cards I make her so I wanted to add lots of elements to it.

For stamp sets, I chose Milestone Moments, Better Together and Playful Backgrounds, pairing them with Cherry Cobbler and Soft suede ink.

On the inside I added a strip of the same pattern of designer series paper from the Be Merry collection as an accent after doing some more stamping.

The banners are created using the triple banner punch and I embossed my layer of Soft Suede card stock with the Perfect Polka Dots folder.  Of course a 12 year old needs some bling too so I added some basic rhinestones and bakers twine.

I just love playing with this die cut from the Eclectic layers thinlits set.  This time it is cut from some Wood Textures designer series paper and has Naturally eclectic designer series paper behind it.  I added a few stamped images from the Oh So Eclectic stamp set on the Tranquil Tide background.

My sentiment is from the Milestone Moments stamp set and is stamped with Fresh Fig and

Tranquil Tide ink.

Happy 40th!

I recently made this card for my sister to celebrate her 40th birthday using the Mixed Drinks and Milestone Moments stamp sets.  The Milestone Moments set is very versatile and can be used for birthday, baby, retirement, and anniversary.  

In the background I added some retired In Color doilies and a piece of Foil Frenzy specialty designer series paper for fun.  The card base is Fresh Fig and I used that ink for the sentiment and drink umbrella as well.  The drinks are stamped with Powder Pink ink.
