Anniversary Stars

Today I have another anniversary card to share with you that uses some current items along with a few retired favorites.  I started with a piece of Wild Wasabi that was embossed with the Oh My Stars folder and added some Year of Cheer specialty paper and Glitter tape to it.

Then, on my sentiment layer, I stamped some images from the Background Bits stamp set with Silver metallic ink and the sentiment from Milestone Moments in Elegant Eggplant.

Supplies:
Cheers to the Year, Background Bits, Milestone Moments
Silver, Elegant Eggplant ink
Wild Wasabi, Whisper White and Elegant Eggplant card stock
Glitter tape (retired SAB item)

Sequined Joy

In the Occasions catalog, there are some fun Silver mini gable boxes that measure 4" x 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" and come with 12 boxes for $8.00.  I left one of them folded as it comes and used the new Scattered Sequins dynamic impressions folder to emboss it before decorating the outside.

There are several different ribbons around the outside including some Sale-a-bration ribbon from last year and also some in the new 2018 Sale-a-bration catalog called the Shimmer ribbon pack (3 colors).  I added a tag stamped using the Cheers to the Year stamp set and some adhesive backed sequins as well.

Supplies:
Cheers to the Year
Basic Gray, Metallic Silver ink
Year of Cheer specialty paper
Whisper White card stock
Silver mini gable boxes
Scattered Sequins dynamic folder
Tutti Frutti adhesive backed sequins
Shimmer ribbon pack (SAB 2018)
Bermuda Bay sequin trim

Bloomin' Heart Congratulations

When thinking about creating some wedding cards recently, I decided to pair the Sweetheart folder and the Bloomin' Heart thinlit.  This actually covers up the heart impression on the Sweetheart folder, but I like the rest of the embossing as well.

My sentiments come from the Cheers to the Years and Special Celebrations stamp sets and are stamped with Bermuda Bay ink.  The accent flowers are retired and were recently on the clearance rack.

Supplies:
Cheers to the Years, Special Celebrations
Bermuda Bay ink
Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Bermuda Bay card stock
Bloomin' Hearts thinlit
Sweetheart folder
Bermuda Bay chevron ribbon

Seasons Greetings Set

It seems as thought I have been using the Cheers to the Years stamp set quite a bit lately for lots of different types of projects and today brings another one.  This is a card set and box that I put together using leftover pieces from the Be Merry Project Kit and some Year of Cheer specialty paper.

Each card also has a foil snowflake and a 2" circle of Merry Little Christmas designer series paper with one of the trees that were punched out when I created the Be Merry Kit rosettes.

I decorated an acetate box to match as well using the same supplies and adding some 7/8" striped ribbon which has wired in it so it can be manipulated easily.

Supplies:
Cheers to the Years
Old Olive, Basic Black ink
Old Olive card stock
Starburst punch
Rhinestones
Foil snowflakes
Year of Cheer specialty paper
acetate card box
7/8" striped ribbon

Wintery Greetings

On this card, I was again playing with the Embossing Paste although I didn't use the masks.  This time I just used a couple of the tools to layer some snow onto the Christmas Around the World designer series paper and then added some chunky glitter before it dried.

The sentiment comes from the Cheers to the Years stamp set and I die cut some trees from the Card Front Builder dies set.

Supplies:
Cheers to the Years
Island Indigo ink
Whisper White, Island Indigo, Tranquil Tide card stock
Christmas Around the World dsp
Embossing Paste
Card front builder framelits
Chunky glitter

Circled Birthday

When I die cut things I usually make extras for use in later projects and that is what I did with the Happy Birthday die cut awhile ago when I cut out some in Crumb Cake card stock.  The card I shared with you before needed more contrast in color between the die cut and the background so I tried a brighter background on this one.

The circle behind the die cut is made with the Circles framelits and Melon Mambo card stock.  I embossed it with the Perfect Polka Dots folder and then used glue dots to add the Happy Birthday.  To create the background, I took a piece of Fresh Fig card stock and stamped some images from the Cheers to the Years stamp set with Fresh Fig and Berry Burst ink.  You may notice that there are not full circle images in that stamp set, I kept the insides of the scribbled circle and circle with little lines to use for stamping when I put it together.
Cheers to the Year Wood-Mount Stamp Set

Supplies:
Cheers to the Years
Berry Burst, Fresh Fig ink
Melon Mambo, Crumb Cake, Fresh Fig card stock

Snowflake Joy Card with a Pocket

There is some beautiful specialty paper in the Holiday catalog called Year of Cheer, it has gold and silver foil images and is a heavier weight than the regular designer series paper.  I chose to make a pocket card with it  and used some Tranquil Tide card stock as a backing to add a little color.   (The Tranquil Tide piece is 5 1/2" x 4 1/4").

Above you can see the pocket, which would work for gift cards, money, coupons, etc...

On the front I used a Foil snowflake (these also come in both gold and silver) and added a strip of Fresh Fig with my stamping.

Supplies:
Cheers to the Years
Fresh Fig ink
Tranquil Tide, Fresh Fig card stock
Year of Cheer specialty paper
Foil snowflake
Faceted gems
tear and tape adhesive

Joyful Star

I found some cute wooden stars recently and decided I wanted to play around with decorating them in a holiday theme.  This is the first creation using the Cheers to the Years stamp set.

I tried to tie in the colors that the star was already painted in with the inks and card stock colors so I chose Whisper White, Pink Pirouette, Soft Suede and Crumb Cake.

We have some super fun embellishments in the Holiday catalog that I also added - Green Sprigs and Mini ornaments and then I added some burlap ribbon and rhinestones for more accents.  The layers are added with a glue gun with the exception of the card stock.

Supplies:
Cheers to the Years
Pink Pirouette, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede ink
Soft Suede, Whisper White card stock
Burlap ribbon
Starburst punch
Mini ornaments
Linen thread
Green sprigs
Rhinestones

I paired it with the Cheers to the Years stamp set and added some punched elements with the 2" punch, Starburst punch and the Everyday label punch.  There is also a heart from the corrugated elements embellishments.
