Best Birthday

There were really a lot of elements that went together to create this card using the Turtle and Friends stamp set as its focus. The first layer is Soft Suede card stock that is embossed with the Star-Crossed folder and on top of that is a piece of Painted Christmas designer series paper layered on top of Crumb Cake card stock.

Next, comes a circle of Shaded Spruce card stock die cut with the Stitched Shapes dies and a turtle stamped with Shaded Spruce, cut out and colored in with a Pear Pizzazz Stampin' Write marker. Finally, the sentiment layer is die cut using the Stitched So Sweetly dies and stamped with an upcoming Sale-a-bration stamp set called Friendly Hello.

Love of Leaves

Today I have another one of those cards that I left the sentiment off so that it can be used for lots of different occasions or one could be added later.

The stamp set I used is called Love of Leaves and I tied in colors from the Gilded Autumn specialty paper for the coordinating inks and card stock.  The background leaves are stamped with Crumb Cake ink and the focal leaf is stamped with Cajun Craze ink.  The squares are cut out with the Stitches Shapes dies.
