You Are Sweet

My baby is graduating in less than two months and I have been trying to put together some decorations for her party. I often buy different pieces of wood or other things that I can use for crafting even though I do not have a purpose for them at that time. This 13" x 9" piece of wood was in that stash of items.

She wants pinks, rose gold, white and gold as the decoration colors so I wanted to use those colors in this project.  I used some retired designer series paper and specialty paper in addition to some Bright and Beautiful designer series paper, elements from Sweet Thoughts and More Cards and Envelopes, Rose Gold specialty paper and some glimmer paper.

The framed die cuts behind the picture are made using the Darling Details dies and the flower layers are made with the retired Celebrate Sunflowers dies. Behind the flower layers are two die cuts made with the Framed Florets dies. 

I added some 3/8" sheer ribbon and linen thread along with lots of different adhesive backed embellishments to finish the project.

Happy Anniversary

Milestones Moments has been retired for quite a while, but I still like to use it once in a while on cards, so I keep it around. 

I used three different patterns of designer series paper from the Fresh as a Daisy collection in the background of this card. The top two of them were die cut using the Darling Details dies. The sentiment layer is die cut using the Nested Essentials dies and stamped with Mossy Meadow ink.

Swinging By

I had some fun playing with the Little Monkey stamp set awhile back even though I am not really a fan of fussy cutting. I played with several shades of browns with my Stampin' Blends for the monkeys.

Celebrate

I put together two very similar birthday cards with the Circle Sayings stamp set but stepped one up just slightly with one extra element. For each one, I stamped the cupcake image on a 2 1/4" circle and colored in the frosting and cupcake, then I stamped the same image on some Bright and Beautiful designer series paper and cut out the cupcake liner with my paper snips before adding it to the image on the circle.

In the background, each card has a piece of Bright and Beautiful designer series paper, a piece of Crumb Cake card stock and a piece of ribbon from the 3/8" Sheer Ribbon Combo pack. 

The one on the left also has a die cut made with the Darling Details dies popped up at an angle. I used the paper snips on the edges to cut an angle as well.
