You're a Star

Don't forget this awesome gift Stampin' Up! has given us this weekend!  They must have know today was my birthday, LOL!

You can click on the picture to start shopping (this is for any type of order and don't forget about the clearance rack!!)

I put together a fun page in My Digital Studio to capture Hunter's performance in the 5th Grade play.  The background is from Lemonade Stand (which was a Sale-a-bration digital content disc) and I have used designer paper from the Storytime and Eventful Year collections as well.

The title is a stamp from the School Days set and I have added a few punches and embellishments to complete the page.  I LOVE that you can change the color of the embellishments, which I did on both the dotted ribbon and the banner.

Collections used from My Digital Studio:
Eventful Year
Storytime
Lemonade Stand
School Days
Star Punch
Designer button

Simple Thinking of You

These cards came about from scraps and leftovers from some stamp a stack cards.  I actually made a few more variations than these, but they are all fairly similar.

The top one uses Pool Party and the Summer Afternoon stamp set while the one below uses the Take a Seat set.

The sentiment on both cards is from Teeny Tiny wishes and each has a strip of Naturals composition specialty paper as well.

Do you dream in color? We do!

Announcing our Color Refresh! We love color and we know that you do too. Color is fundamental to who we are and what we offer. It's important for us to stay up-to-date with color trends so we are thrilled to share our updated line of colors, and hope you will be as excited as we are by the new possibilities!  Why now? In 2010 we did a big color renovation and shared our plans for smaller color refreshes every three to five years to keep our colors on trend. Well it has been three years and we are excited to announce that the upcoming 2013-2014 annual catalog will include 10 new colors (most of which are returning In Colors from previous years)! We are welcoming back some of your favorites, moving some colors around, and introducing one brand-new color, so take a look!

Beginning on April 4, 2013, all retiring/discontinued color products (i.e. ink, paper, ribbon, accessories, etc.) will be available only while supplies last.

One more thing...
Watercolor Pencils and Crayons Discontinued

Due to unforeseen problems with our supplier for Watercolor Wonder Crayons and Watercolor Pencils, we have decided to discontinue these two products.Watercolor Pencils (item 101879) and Watercolor Wonder Crayons Brights Collection (item 119804), which have been on the Backorder Report for about a week, will no longer be available, effective immediately. If your order has not been shipped due to its status in backorder, we will not be able to fill it. We will soon begin processing refunds for these items. Keep in mind that it may take a few days to see the reimbursement in your account.
Now for the good news! We still have the remaining collections of the Watercolor Wonder Crayons available to order. The Subtles (item 119802), Neutrals (item 119805), and Regals (item 119803) Collections are only available while supplies last. Get 'em before they're gone!

Bordering on Romance

Once in awhile I will get out my markers and decide to do a bunch of coloring, but not very often because I don't love to do it.

I stamped a bunch of these flower images from the Bordering on Romance stamp set and colored them in with Certainly Celery, Wild Wasabi, Pretty in Pink, Pink Pirouette and So Saffron.

I left the card without a sentiment for now, thinking it could be for a wedding or bridal shower possibly...

Supplies:
Bordering on Romance
Early Espresso, Certainly Celery, Wild Wasabi, Pretty in Pink, Pink Pirouette and So Saffron ink and markers
Pool Party, Early Espresso, Pretty in Pink and Very Vanilla card stock
Lacy Brocade folder
Fan Fair dsp
flower trim
Artisan embellishment kit

From the Bottom of my Heart

The second swap card I made for my spring retreat is one that I apparently did not take a picture of before I swapped it.  I used the chalkboard technique and used the same stamp as the one below, except I use the Hearts a Flutter stamp set and embossed some hearts around the image using Pool Party embossing powder.

On this one I added some silver glimmer paper and a strip of Primrose Petals card stock and layered it all on some Crumb Cake card stock.

A Rainbow of Colors

The Late Night Stampers challenge this week is Candy Bar inspired cards or projects.  A few weeks ago I was at a retreat that had the them Somewhere over the Rainbow and I made these cards for everyone who was there.

So my candy inspiration?  Yep, Skittles - a rainbow of fruit flavors :)

These are quick and easy cards that can be made with scraps and as you can see I changed up the layout as the size of the scraps changed.

The sentiment is from Pursuit of Happiness and I used the Polka Dot Parade dsp along with lots of the Brights collection card stock.

The sentiment is punched using the scallop oval punch and my base is Whisper White.

Hope you come over and play along with us!
