January Paper Pumpkin Alternative Layout

This is what I came up with for my for a 12" x 12" scrapbook layout using the January Paper Pumpkin kit.   

The base layer is Purple Posy and I added a 5 1/4" x 7 1/4" piece of Rococo Rose card stock for a photo  mat along with an embossed 5 1/4" x 3 3/4" piece of Gorgeous Grape card stock for the same. 

Then I used some pieces from the kit that I cut down for embellishments and a journal pocket.

March Paper Pumpkin Alternative Project

Last month's Paper Pumpkin kit was a fun card kit with pop outs on the inside of the cards.  I put together a couple of them the way they were intended and then went off on my own...

The first alternative is a 12 x 12 scrapbook layout using the card bases cut down to create photo mats.  I also added several of the accessories for accents and popped up the cakes with Stampin' dimensionals.

I maybe should have doubled up the Stampin' dimensionals to pop the cakes up a little more...

June Paper Pumpkin Alternative

As promised, I have another June 2018 Paper Pumpkin alternative idea for you today.  You may have noticed I like to make a scrapbook page each month using some of the pieces in the kit and this month is no exception.

The base is Basic Gray and I have stamped a few images in the background with Lovely Lipstick ink.  Then I cut down some of the card bases to use as photo mats and added some of the balloons and other elements in the kit.

March Paper Pumpkin Alternative Box

Today's alternative Paper Pumpkin idea is a wooden box that is decorated with some of the pieces in the March 2018 kit.  The box measures about 8" x 8 1/4" x 2" and was found at a craft store.

I used Tear and Tape adhesive around the box on the top and bottom and then added ribbon all the way around.  There was a large amount of ribbon in the kit so even though this uses quite a bit, I still have lots more than I will use for the remaining cards.

I again cut off the flap of one of the envelopes and used both pieces as decoration.  While I didn't have any seed packets on hand when I made this, I think putting one inside the pocket (and a few in the box) would be a great gift idea.

The box is big enough to add a pair of gloves and some seed packets - maybe a fun Mother's Day idea!?

March Paper Pumpkin Alternative Layout

On Friday I shared the new Paper Pumpkin video with you and this week I will share with you some of the alternative projects I created with it.  Today is a scrapbook layout on Sweet Sugarplum card stock.  

I cut off the flap of one of the envelopes and made it into a hidden journaling pocket while adding the flap as decoration below it.

The die cut flowers and leaves made great accents and I also used one of the labels to either add a title or information about the picture.

The only items added to his project in addition to the kit were the pieces of card stock - Sweet Sugarplum, Fresh Fig and Crumb Cake.
