Happiest Wishes

I am drawn to the Boys will Be Boys stamp set it seems, maybe because I have a couple boys in the house and one that loves legos...who knows :)  For the card below, I paired it with the Watercolor Wishes card kit stamp set and some Schoolhouse designer series paper.

I also added a strip of Corrugated paper and colored in and cut out one of the lego images.

Fun cards don't have to take a long time to put together!

Supplies:
Boys will Be Boys, Watercolor Wishes
Memento Black, Hello Honey, Real Red, Pacific Point ink

Blocks and Letters

Recently, I needed a little boy birthday card and came up with this one fairly quickly using the Schoolhouse designer series paper and the Boys will be Boys stamp set.

Rather than adding a mat to the top layer of designer series paper before adding it to the bottom dsp layer, it is layered on top of itself using a different pattern .

Supplies:
Boys will be Boys
Pacific Point, Garden Green ink
Schoolhouse dsp
Whisper White, Smoky Slate, Pacific Point card stock

Legos

Since the kids are getting older I don't have a lot of use for little boy (or girl) cards as much anymore, but I still like to make them.  Actually one of my boys still loves legos too so this card would probably be appropriate for him as well.

I chose the Boys Will Be Boys stamp set and colored in the lego images with markers.

Then I used several different patterns from the Schoolhouse designer series paper pack and added a clip as an accent.

Supplies:
Boys will be boys
Memento Black ink
Pacific Point, Daffodil Delight, Real Red markers
Schoolhouse dsp
Pool Party, Whisper White card stock

Dotty Angles

I was playing with the Dotty Angles stamp set a little bit on these fun boy birthday cards.  The images make a fun and quick background for both cards or scrapbook pages.

The other images and sentiment come from the Boys will be Boys set.

Behind the blocks and robot images you see some grid paper, that is leftover from a printing of some My Digital Studio project and I thought it added to the background a little.

Supplies:
Boys will be Boys, Dotty Angles
Early Espresso, Tempting Turquoise, Island Indigo ink
Whisper White, Smoky Slate, Tempting Turquoise, Island Indigo card stock

Blendabilities in Action

Although the Need for Speed stamp set is retired, I had some stamped images of a few in my scrap pile and I thought I would practice with the Blendabilities on them.  They turned out pretty well, but more practice is definitely in order.

I used the Daffodil Delight, Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler collections.  The background is Gorgeous Grunge images and the sentiment comes from Boys will be Boys.

On each of the windows on the cars, I used the lightest of the Coastal Cabana blendabilities markers.

Supplies:
Boys will be Boys, Need for Speed, Gorgeous Grunge
Smoky Slate, Basic Gray, Memento Black ink
Blendabilities markers

Lego Birthday

If only this stamp set had come out a few years sooner!  My oldest is the Lego lover in the family although he is starting to outgrow them, but I still thought this stamp set would be great for kids cards.

It is really a pretty simple card, just using some bright inks and card stocks.  The stamp set also includes a robot, blocks, yo yo and a parachute.
