Butterfly Serenade

I had some Rectangle stitched framelits die cuts laying around after I made some cards using the reverse pieces and put together this one for Mother's Day (a little early I know!).  For the flower image I used the Southern Serenade stamp set with Basic Gray and Sweet Sugarplum ink.  The sentiment is from the Tea Together stamp set and is punched with the 1" square and postage stamp for matting.

The background is embossed with the Dot to Dot folder and I added some embellishments from the February Paper Pumpkin kit and some Sale-a-bration wooden butterfly embellishments as well.

We will take a little break from the holiday cards today and use one of the first stamp sets I purchased from the catalog and idea book last June - Southern Serenade...

It is paired with the Share what you love specialty paper and some coordinating artisan pearls.  I added a doily behind my punched out sentiment for some texture as well.

Eclectic Thank You

I have again used the Southern Serenade stamp set for the sentiment on my card today.  It is stamped on an oval cut out with the Big Shot and the Stitched Shapes framelits and I added a little piece of Shimmer ribbon (SAB 2018) behind it before popping it up on the card front.

My Pool Party layer was die cut using the Eclectic Layers thinlits and I added some Petal Garden designer series paper both behind the die cut and along the side of the Pool Party card stock.

I really love the lace design in the Southern Serenade stamp set that can be found in the Occasions catalog and I have been experimenting with different ink colors for that stamp.  On the cards below, I used Marina Mist and Perfect Plum ink with some Basic Black for the flower image over the top.

I paired these images with some retired designer series paper and used a couple of the different sentiments that come in the set, there is also a Happy Birthday.

Sneak peek...Southern Serenade

Today I have a simple card for you that showcases a stamp set that will be in the new Occasions catalog called Southern Serenade.  It is one of the sets that I really thought would be a versatile and useful one.  

I used Peekaboo Peach ink for the lacy background and Basic Black for the flower image.  There is a little bit of Fresh Florals designer series paper to break up the Whisper White and Peekaboo Peach layers as well.
