Happy Heart Day

 

Another card in honor of Valentine's Day today, this one being a stamp a stack card I had in rotation the last two months.  

 

I used the Hearts a Flutter stamp set for the hearts in the background and the Tags 4 You set for the sentiment.

 

There is some Watercolor Wonder designer washi tape thrown in for fun as well.

This card came to be while I was playing with my Petal Parade (Sale-a-bration stamp set) set awhile ago.  After the fact, I decided I should have maybe used black for the sentiment instead of Pacific Point.

Do you ever feel like your older stamp sets get ignored once you start to play with some from a new catalog?  I sure do!  One day I pulled out a few I have not used in quite awhile and decided to make at least one card with them. 

 

This is the creation that came from the Delicate Doilies stamp set - I used gold metallic ink to stamp the smallest image in that set on the tag.

 

While I love the vellum papers, I usually try to find different ways to attach them to the card stock because I don't want my snail adhesive to show.  For this one, I used my crop-o-dile and punched a couple holes and then added my Coastal Cabana ruffle stretch trim.  (Tip - washi tape works awesome to hold down ribbon on the back of your projects!)

Love you More

 

Valentine's Day is just around the corner and I happen to love it because it is also my anniversary!  Today I am using the other tag topper punch - the Angled one for a fun card made with some scraps of Fresh Prints designer series paper.  I don't know about you, but I LOVE that we have some options for smaller paper stacks lately, they work wonderfully for cards that way!

 

I punched a small heart out of my Whisper White layer instead of adding a punched image to it and then put the Real Red behind it.

I was playing with the Scalloped Tag Topper punch and layers on this card by using a strip of Strawberry Slush that was about 1 3/4" and one of Whisper White that was 2".  They are just so much fun to play with!

 

The sentiment comes from Countless Sayings 2 and is stamped in Island Indigo and Strawberry Slush.  I placed both the you and me stamps on the same block and stamped them at the same time over the ampersand.

 

A little bit of 5/8" natural Chevron ribbon and Quatrefancy specialty paper and the card is good to go!

Party Time

 

I thought I would share the layout I created with the July My Paper Pumpkin Kit.  My daughter's birthday party pictures worked well to fill in the spaces I had created for pictures and all I needed to do was attach those and add some journaling.

 

I just love it when I have premade pages ready to pop pictures into!
