April Paper Pumpkin Alternative Cards

Here are a few cards I put together using the elements from the kit along with some extra card stock, Ice Cream Corner designer series paper and a few other ink colors.

I also used some Stampin' Blends to color in the stamped images.

For the last two cards, I also used the 2 1/4" circle punch...

I hope you enjoyed these ideas! I may have more when time allows since I have lots of pieces left to play with in the kit!

April Paper Pumpkin Layout Idea

It is one of those times of year again when I am unable to keep up with sharing cards and other projects with you during the week.  We have been busy shipping seed potatoes and while we are still doing that, we are also moving into planting...add in some high school baseball (we miss too much of that too!) and my craft room gets ignored...

I will share the alternative projects I put together using the April Paper Pumpkin kit today and tomorrow and then I will probably be silent for awhile.  My facebook page (Maddiebug Designs) may have a few projects from Stampin' Up! shared here and there during my absence from the blog though if you would like to check that out.

The first photo is the cards as they were designed.  Super cute colors and stamps that also coordinate with the Ice Cream Corner designer series paper.

I cut down an envelope for part of the background of this layout as well as a piece of the Ice Cream Corner designer series paper and a piece of Blackberry Bliss card stock.  The rest of the elements come from the kit.

I enjoy playing with the Ice Cream Corner Suite of products, the colors of the designer series paper are some of my favorites and the patterns are fun as well.

I chose a couple of the patterns for this card and used the popsicle stamps with Pool Party, Coastal Cabana, Crumb Cake and Soft Suede ink.

You Are Loved

One of the designs in the Ice Cream Corner designer series paper package worked well for me as I put together this card using the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set. The Cinnamon Cider background with a pattern over the top tied in with the Bumblebee ink and card stock I had chosen for the card.

I also added a piece of Bumblebee ribbon behind the top two layers of the card for a small accent.

I had some odds and ends pieces of the Ice Cream Corner designer series paper and wanted to use them up on some cards.  I added some Blackberry Bliss and Cinnamon Cider card stock and Whisper White card bases...

April Stamp Club Projects

Lots and lots of designer series paper went into these projects!  The layout uses the Peony Garden collection and coordinating colors along with some banner punches and the Stitched Nested Labels framelits.

The Peony Garden designer series paper is on sale right now and is also retiring...

The first card also uses a retiring item - Dandelion Wishes - one of my favorite stamp sets!  I paired it with the In Good Taste designer series paper which is coming back in the new catalog...

Finally, we used the Ice Cream Corner designer series paper and Ice Cream Corner stamp set.  The foil in the background is from the Love You Always Foil Sheets package and is embossed with the Tin Tile folder.

My base is Purple Posy card stock and I matted the designer series paper on Bumblebee card stock.  There is a strip of Pool Party used for the sentiment layer which is stamped with Gorgeous Grape ink.
