An Extra Panel

 

I saw a card one day that had a similar format to this one with the extra panel and wanted to try to make a few of them.  When I measured my card stock I just guessed so I am not sure what the directions were for the card I saw and unfortunately I didn't save it for reference.  

 

What I did on this one was to cut a piece of Blackberry Bliss that was 5 1/2" x 6" and scored it at 4 1/4".  Then I added a folded piece of Very Vanilla on top of it that was cut to 8" x 5" and scored at 4".

 

The top panel is Mossy Meadow and measures 4" x 3".  I punched out three holes with my crop-o-dile and added some brads to connect it to the Blackberry Bliss piece before decorating the rest of the card.

 

The cake, candles and base are cut out with a paper snips and added to a 2 1/2" circle of Mossy Meadow card stock.

Trick or Treat

 

I put together a couple of little Halloween Treat holders to share with you today (I know they would look lots better filled with candy, but at our house it is just best not to buy too much before Halloween or it won't last!).  They are cut from the Happy Haunting designer series paper and I used the Boo For You framelits and Howl-o-ween stamp set as well.

 

The little card inside the witch's hat box is attached to the box and I added some Smoky Slate chevron ribbon to the same box.

 

The "Boo" box has some 5/8" striped Mossy Meadow ribbon as an accent to go with the die cuts.

Farmer Market Soup

 

The Get Well Soup stamp is a great one to use for those get well cards we all need at some point. On this card, I stamped some Farmers Market designer series paper with the image and then cut out the bowl.  Then, I stamped the image again on some Very Vanilla card stock and added the bowl before completing the card.

 

I think if I did it again, I might add a mat to the Very Vanilla layer to add a little more color..

Happy Hello

 

I was in the mood to use some Cherry Cobbler the day I made this card I guess!  The designer series paper is from Farmers Market and I always love polka dots...

 

The sentiment and other images are from the Tin of card stamp set and I used the Tags and Labels framelits for the sentiment and mat layers.

 

A little washi tape and some distressed 5/8" Mossy Meadow striped cotton ribbon and it is complete!

Give Thanks

A very long time ago, I picked up a couple of small wreath shaped pieces someplace or other that I intended to decorate and while I was looking for some ideas in my stash of alterable items, I pulled one of them out. 

 



 

The wreath is about 6" in diameter so it is pretty small.  I wrapped some 5/8" striped cotton ribbon around it very tightly and attached it at the beginning and the end with Tear and Tape adhesive. 

 

Next, I picked up some leftover Paper Pumpkin items from the June kit and some sequins leftover from my Watercolor Wishes card kit (which I haven't shared with you yet!!).  The little wooden banner pieces are attached to the Venetian crochet trim ribbon with tear and tape adhesive and I put some on the backside to help stabilize it as well.  On the back side I left the paper on it so that only one side is sticky (hope that makes sense!).

 

I chose the sentiment from the Banner Blessings set and matted it onto a piece of Farmer's Market designer series paper.

 

Finally I added a way to hang it on the wall using some Venetian crochet trim ribbon and linen thread.
