All the Happiness

For this card project, I used the Translucent Florals stamp set which was the stamp set of focus in the Creativity Now event for Stampin' Up! demonstrators in June. 

I chose to use Fresh Freesia, Soft Sea Foam, Bubble Bath and Berry Burst inks and added Smoky Slate to those colors for the card stock.

The die cut used for the sentiment is from the retired Beautiful Shapes dies and the punch used is also retired and called the Essential Tag punch. I also added some Metallic Mesh ribbon for an accent.

The Timeworn Type embossing folder seemed like a good choice to pair with the Dry Brushed Metallic paper in the background of this card. The embossing is fairly subtle and does not overrun the background.

On top of that, I added a flower stamped with the Cottage Rose stamp set and die cut using the coordinating dies along with a sentiment layer that was die cut using the Beautiful Shapes dies.

The sentiment come from the Something Fancy stamp set, and I also added a few Iridescent Pearls for accents.

Life is Sweeter

Happy Valentine's Day! and 25th anniversary to my husband and I, not sure where the years have gone!! The Share a Milkshake bundle is a fun one to use for Valentine's Day cards and I have a couple different designs to share with you today.

Each of them uses pieces of the Dandy Designs designer series paper from Sale-a-bration in the background and I chose my ink colors from the colors in the designs. 

One tip - when using the die cuts that have very little card stock left after being cut, it is a good idea to add adhesive sheets to the back of them before you cut. The die cut in the top picture is a good example of that.

The die cuts on each card are created with the Share a Milkshake dies, Beautiful Shapes dies and Something Fancy dies.

Lovely and Lasting

I was experimenting with the Lovely and Lasting stamp set one day and put a few cards together with the same basic layout using a couple different products.

The card on the left uses the Hive 3E embossing folder, Rings of Love designer series paper and the Stitched So Sweetly dies. The one on the right uses the same designer series paper, but two different patterns and the Beautiful Shapes dies.

Flowing Flowers

This is another thank you card in the collection I gave as wedding gifts recently and it uses the retired stamp set Flowing Flowers (January - June 2022 mini catalog) along with the Watercolor Shapes stamp set.

The die cuts are made using the Basic Border Dies and Beautiful Shapes dies, both are cut from Purple Posy card stock. There are also a few Faux Sea Glass embellishments added over the stamped images.

Ladybug Birthday

I tried to pull out the colors in the Pattern Party designer series paper when I did some stamping in the background of this card. This designer series paper collection is a large pack of 12" x 12" patterns, on one side there are colorful designs and on the other the designs are black and white. 

The ladybug was stamped on the Beautiful Shapes die cut and then I stamped it on some scrap paper and cut it out with my paper snips before adding it to the die cut with Stampin' Dimensionals.  The sentiment is stamped on a die cut made with the Stitched Rectangles dies.

Otter Birthday

I had some fun playing around with the Beautiful Shapes dies and the Awesome Otters (SAB 2022) stamp set and put together a few birthday cards.

For the first layer on the card base, I cut down some of the Gingerbread and Peppermint Memories and More Cards (because I liked the pattern) and then I added some Pattern Party designer series paper on top of that.

The Otter image is stamped and layered on die cuts made with the Beautiful Shapes dies and colored in with Stampin' Blends markers.
