UStamp with Dawn and Friends World Showcase Blog Hop

Welcome to the UStamp with Dawn and Friends!! World Showcase Blog Hop.
If you have been following the Blog Hop from the beginning, you have just been wowed by Nancy's Frequently Dialed Numbers phone book. She always has such fabulous ideas!
If you are just joining the Blog Hop, no problem as you can start at any point. All the Designer's Blogs are linked together so you will be able to see ALL the super projects we have for you.

For the showcase, I decided to use a project that I created as a bridal shower gift for my future sister-in-law using a shadow box.   Knowing how much they enjoy photos, I thought I would help them capture a wonderful memory and give them something they could cherish for many years to come.

Using the Lap of Luxury Designer Series paper, I created a 12 x 12 scrapbook page to showcase their engagement picture.  The picture is attached with dotto adhesive so that they are able to remove it and replace it with another photo if they chose to do so.

Instead of using Concord Crush, which is an element of the Lap of Luxury Designer Series paper, I substituted Perfect Plum so that it would more accurately match their wedding color.

Then, I made a card to go with the gift using the Love and Care hostess level 2 stamp set that is in the Summer Mini catalog and continued to use the Fun Flowers and antique brads.

On the top note, I added a quote from their wedding announcement along with their names and wedding date and also added some die cut flowers and lots of Vanilla Smooch shimmer mist and sponging.  And of course I had to add some Victoria Crochet trim ribbon, basic pearls and antique brads - some of my favorite things!

Aren't these little trinket keys awesome?

The Wheels on the Bus

This is my Glee Club week number three entry for Soul Scrappers.  The theme is Children's music and I used the Friends Rock stamp set and Newsprint Designer Series paper.

Maddie had a necklace that broke and she wanted me to put the guitar that was on the chain in a scrapbook page so...here it is :)

February Stamp Club

This month's stamp club projects...
I used the Bliss stamp set (Sale-a-bration) on the left side and on the right I wheeled some Bashful Blue on Whisper White and also on the paper flowers using a retired jumbo wheel.

This card uses the crayon resist technique with the Fast and Fabulous stamp set. I used the Occasionals Quotes set for the saying.

And finally, a masculine birthday card using the Plane and Simple stamp set and Log Cabin Smooch spritz.

Daily Dose of Sunshine

Another page for a challenge on Soul Scrappers - something we can't live without :)
I used some new Occassions mini items on this as well as some retired things.  It is hard to tell from the lighting on the picture, but the base card stock is Rose Red.  The DSP is Springtime Vintage and the Big buttons are also from the new mini.

Up Up and Away

I have another Technique challenge up at Soul Scrappers and wanted to do a scrapbook page with the same technique I have recently used on some cards - Bubbles and reinkers.
 a closer look
I just punched out a bunch of circles in lots of sizes, the smallest ones are from the itty bitty shapes collection.  The reinker color is Marina Mist and the card stock colors are Bashful blue, Whisper White and Marina Mist.

Photo Corners

My technique challenge on Soul Scrappers right now is Photo corners.  I thought it would be something simple enough that even though everyone is busy with the holidays there would be time to play!

This page has three different types of photo corners, the one on the left uses the photo corners punch; the one below uses basic pearls; and the bottom one is made with ribbon and brads.

The possibilities are endless as to what you can use for photo corners!

Beautiful Girl

I am so glad I make extra layouts for myself when I have Stamp Club, it makes putting together pages such a quick process!  These we did quite awhile ago using the Bella Bleu Designer Series paper.

I added some homemade buttons and a lot of Basic Pearls to the original layout and did the journalling and title with My Digital Studio.

Presto technique

Another challenge technique on Soul Scrappers using our Specialty papers that are embossed and adding color and stamping to them.  I used the retired Bride paper for this, but the Presto Patterns specialty paper will give you the same effect.
You sponge color on the specialty paper and them stamp over the top.  I used Marina Mist, Basic Gray and retired Kiwi Kiss as my colors and the stamp set is Extreme Elements.

A close up of the technique on this page.

Clear Block stamping

I have a Technique challenge up on Soul Scrappers right now and I chose the clear block stamping this time.  To make the blocked image a little bit distressed, I just didn't completely cover the block with ink.

Color challenge page

I used this page for a color challege on Soul Scrappers that was for a dark brown, Baja Breeze and Very Vanilla - I used Soft Suede and also the Early Espresso waffle paper.  This was my first attemp with the waffle paper and I have to say I like the effect it gave this page.
I also used Word Play, basic pearls, Deck the Halls and Candy Cane Big designer buttons, Victoria crochet trim ribbon and Elegant Soiree Designer series paper.

Little Mommy

This is a fall themed page I made for a challenge on Soul Scrappers.  I used the Autumn Spice Specialty paper and the Day of Gratitude stamp set.
To make the ribbon pop up a little, I used dimensionals under both ends.
