Love & Hugs

I just can't seem to party with my Top Note die even though it isn't a current catalog item anymore.  There are actually quite a few items in my stash that I use a lot that are not longer current because I just can't see not using them anymore :)

I cut out a piece of Very Vanilla card stock with this die and then used the Happy Heart folder to emboss it.  Next, I took a sponge and the Crumb Cake ink pad and added some color.

A few more die cuts using the Sunshine Wishes collection, some baker's twine, a doily and sentiment and the card is completed.

Supplies:
Sunshine Sayings
Soft Suede, Crumb Cake ink
Daffodil Delight, Watermelon Wonder, Mint Macaron, Very Vanilla card stock
In Color doilies
gold baker's twine
Sunshine Wishes
Top Note die
Happy Heart folder
sponges
linen thread

Once again, I really love Mary Jo's sketch for this week so I had to play along.

I chose Crumb Cake, Primrose Petals, Soft Suede, Early Espresso and Baja Breeze for my colors and used the Elements of Style stamp set.

Instead of ribbon, I used a strip of Beau Chateau designer fabric and tied a knot around the crumb cake and top note layer.

Stamp Camp Projects

We had so much fun at our Stamp Camp last Saturday and I thought I would share the projects we created with you.

Sarah's card featured a 3d look with the ornament punch as well as some Big Shot pieces and textures.  She also made the little top note purses for our thank you gifts to those who came to stamp.

Lisa's project showed off the Spiece Cake designer series paper and fabric along with some Big Shot details.

I had the gift bag using Mocha Morning Specialty paper and also a card I cased from Mary Fish with a little glimmer and bling.

Simple Dasher

On this card, I used some First Edition Specialty paper and matched it with
Old Olive and Real Red card stock.

I used the retired (but on the clearance rack) spiral punch, Dasher and Come to Bethlehem stamp sets and the Top Note die.  There is a little bit of silver glass glitter on the antlers to add a little sparkle and I sponged the card with Chocolate Chip classic ink, which is also what I used for stamping.

Flirtatious Doilies

This set of cards and holder is a recreation of Ilina Crouse's project on UStamp with Dawn and Friends Paper Parade.  She used a different designer series paper and stamp set for her awesome project.

The inside with the cards included.

Hopefully I will have some time to recreate some more of the wonderful projects from this round!

Nora

This is my final "niece" project share (well for now anyway, LOL!).  For this one, I used a clip board and reitired Love Letter DSP.

The ribbon is also retired and I added a quote from the Daring Adventure stamp set which seemed kind of fitting for her :)

Her name is made with the Simple Alphabet die and I made a little rolled flower embellishment with the ribbon as well.

The music is from the retired Newsprint DSP and I have some fun buttons and part of a lace ribbon border punch piece thrown in there too.

Perfect Attendance

During the UStamp with Dawn and Friends Worldwide Showcase blog hop, we had a couple creative challenges, one with a picture as inspiration and another as a project as our inspiration.

This page was done using the picture as inspiration and I made a page for my boy's and their perfect attendance picture.  The designer paper is Celebrations and I also used lots of circle punches and then ran them through the Big Shot using the Perfect Polka Dots impressions folder.  There is also a part Top Note for a quick journaling area and a banner using the upcoming Petite Pennants Builder Punch.

Botanical Gazette layout

I was experimenting with a couple things on this layout.  There was an unusable CD in a package that I had saved and decided to play with it on a page.  It is stamped with Stazon ink (black) and then I cut a piece of DSP to fit on the back.  I didn't know how to attach it so that the adhesive wouldn't show so I made 6 holes with my cropodile and added vintage brads to hold it together.

My next experiment was with poly shrink plastic, I have had this around for probably a year and have not used it yet so I thought it was time.  I stamped the bird cage with Stazon ink, cut it out, punched a hole in the top and heated it up.  It is hanging on linen thread.

I also sewed the Victoria crochet trim ribbon to some Pear Pizzazz seam binding using the linen thread and then scrunched it up a little and stuck it on with sticky strip.

Supplies:
Nature Walk stamp set
Botanical Gazette DSP
Early Espresso, Not Quite Navy, Pear Pizzazz card stock
Early Espresso classic and Black Stazon ink
vintage trinkets
Pear Pizzazz seam binding
Victoria crochet trim ribbon
linen thread
sticky strip
hearts and brackets die
top note die
First Edition DSP
cropodile
Neutrals buttons
curly label punch

More Teacher appreciation

This cute little top note purse was designed by Twila Davis for UStamp with Dawn and Friends Classes Clubs and Camps.  I made a few changes and added the little clasp to the front using some hodgepodge hardware.

In a small cello bag, I added some Hershey's nuggets and tied it up with some Baja Breeze seam binding.

For the little bookmark, I took a piece of hodgepodge hardware and added some Greenhouse Gala designer series paper to the back of it and then filled the top with crystal effects.  After it dried I added some more of the Baja Breeze seam binding.

A close up of the purse...

Quilted Top Note cards and holder

Beth Fesperman designed this fun project for UStamp with Dawn and Friends Classes, Clubs and Camps and I changed colors, papers, etc. and CASED it.

I used the Level 1 hostess paper pack for these fun cards and thought they would make a nice little gift for a teacher or friend.

I also used the stamp set Just Belive for the sentiments.

Clear Case notepad holder

I finally made it to a office supply store to get some note pads and have them cut down so I could make one of these :)  I used the Ice Cream Parlor sets from Sale-a-bration and the Simple Alphabet letters dies.
on the inside I added a top note and a scalloped envelope with a bookmark from the two tags die to decorate a little.

These are so quick and fun to make, I am sure it won't be the last one.

Tin purse

I am going to work on projects with a Girl Scouts group tonight and I thought they might like to make these projects. Since our time is limited, I did most of the prep work for them, but hopefully they will have fun with these.

The tins were on our Clearance rack last fall and I used the crop-o-dile to make holes to add the ribbon so it can be a little purse.  There will be a book mark and a little note pad to put inside that matches.

For this sample, I used the Celebrations Designer Series paper, Grunge Rock and Friends Rock stamp sets along with the Top Note and Two Tags dies.  There will be another version with the retired Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series paper as well.

Tags, Tags and more tags!

I love playing with the Two Tags die and the Top Note die for gift tags!  Here are some examples of what I have come up with this year.

More mini notebooks

I always seem to come back to these when I need little items for gifts or vendor events, they are so fun to make and everyone needs note pads, right?

These were made with the top note and scallop circle dies, but I have also used the scallop square in the past.  The top note fits the best when you want to use the least amount of paper because you can fit 4 of them on one sheet of copy paper for the inside pages.
