One Last Nature Walk

I had intended to share these cards before Nature Walk retired, but my crazy schedule this spring didn't allow that to happen!  So... here are my last two Nature Walk shares.

I used Very Vanilla card stock for the birdcage image and applied the Crumb Cake ink pad directly to the paper before I stamped the image in Early Espresso.

Supplies:
Nature Walk
Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler, Night of Navy, Very Vanilla card stock
Crumb Cake, Early Espresso ink
Silver button
Linen thread
Scallop edge punch
Print Poetry dsp

Nature Walk Thanks

This is one of the cards my club girls received this month with their orders made using the Nature Walk stamp set.  After stamping and assembling, I used the Log Cabin smooch spritz all over it and I like the way it turned out.  I tend to stay away from the darker smooch colors, but this time it worked well.

Supplies:
Nature Walk
Always Artichoke, Chocolate chip, Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla card stock
Always Artichoke, Chocolate Chip, Night of Navy, Crumb Cake classic ink
curly label punch
linen thread
Log Cabin smooch spritz

Bug Birthday

Another sample for our Late Night Stampers group this week - animals or bugs on a card.  I used a piece of chipboard that had circle cut outs on it to mask some card stock and then sprayed it with a mixture of rubbing alcohol, Peach Parfait reinker drops and Champagne Mist shimmer paint.  After that dried I added the flies from the Nature Walk stamp set.

Supplies:
Nature Walk, Occasional Quotes stamp sets
So Saffron, Soft Suede, Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla card stock
Soft Suede classic ink
Peach Parfait reinkers
Champange mist shimmer paint
Cherry Cobbler seam binding
vintage trinkets
curly label punch

Botanical Nature Walk

This card is one without a sentiment, for the moment I decided to keep it that way and if I go to use it it can always be added.

I really love the designs on the Botanical Gazette paper so I used that as my first layer and also as the layer I stamped on using the Nature Walk stamp set.

Supplies:
Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso card stock
Botanical Gazette dsp

Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso and Always Artichoke classic ink
Cherry Cobbler seam binding

Botanical Gazette layout

I was experimenting with a couple things on this layout.  There was an unusable CD in a package that I had saved and decided to play with it on a page.  It is stamped with Stazon ink (black) and then I cut a piece of DSP to fit on the back.  I didn't know how to attach it so that the adhesive wouldn't show so I made 6 holes with my cropodile and added vintage brads to hold it together.

My next experiment was with poly shrink plastic, I have had this around for probably a year and have not used it yet so I thought it was time.  I stamped the bird cage with Stazon ink, cut it out, punched a hole in the top and heated it up.  It is hanging on linen thread.

I also sewed the Victoria crochet trim ribbon to some Pear Pizzazz seam binding using the linen thread and then scrunched it up a little and stuck it on with sticky strip.

Supplies:
Nature Walk stamp set
Botanical Gazette DSP
Early Espresso, Not Quite Navy, Pear Pizzazz card stock
Early Espresso classic and Black Stazon ink
vintage trinkets
Pear Pizzazz seam binding
Victoria crochet trim ribbon
linen thread
sticky strip
hearts and brackets die
top note die
First Edition DSP
cropodile
Neutrals buttons
curly label punch

Thanks for Caring

I really hope that Nature Walk carries over into the new Idea Book and Catalog, it has become one of my favorite sets.

I used a clear block inked with Crumb Cake for this background and Cherry Cobbler and Always Artichoke for the flowers and sentiment.

There is a small piece of the Botanical Gazette designer paper on the side with a torn edge along with the layer of Cherry Cobbler card stock.

I cut the bottom off the Victoria crochet trim ribbon before I stuck it down with some sticky strip and added an Antique Brad.

Create

I promised to share a better picture of the Create banner we made at Regionals so here are some more pictures.  The project uses the petal cone and fun flowers dies and we added some bling with dazzling diamonds, Champagne shimmer paint and basic pearls.

There is also some seam binding and Victoria crochet trim ribbon, bitty punches and vintage trinkets incorporated in the project.

The Designer series paper is Botanical Gazette and we used the Nature Walk stamp set as well.

And of course one of those awesome little trinket keys on the end.

March Stamp Club projects

I wanted to use a few things we used or saw at Regionals for projects this month so a couple projects have the Botanical Gazette designer series paper and the Nature Walk stamp set incorporated in them and another has a technique that was presented to us.
Aren't these little vintage flower adornments cute?  I used a dimensional to attach it.

In addition to the Botanical Gazette designer series paper, I used some of the First Edition Specialty paper on the scrap book pages.  This is just like encyclopedia paper - great stuff!

This punching technique was shown to us at Regionals and the card is also inspired by one Dawn Olchefske.

Some Regional Make and Takes

These are some of the fun make and takes we did at Regionals in Minneapolis.  The stamp set is Nature Walk and can be found in the Occassions Mini catalog and many of the projects also use the Botanical Gazette designer series paper.
