The sentiment on this card is from my favorite retired set called Occasional Quotes.  I added an image from Serene Silhouettes and some Print Poetry dsp.

 

 

The background is Cherry Cobbler embossed with the Honeycomb folder and I have also used Crumb Cake, Soft Suede and Very Vanilla card stock.

Masculine Birthday

This is a fairly simple masculine birthday card using the Woodgrain folder and an image from the Lovely as a Tree stamp set.

 

 

I used Whisper White, Soft Suede and Early Espresso card stock and Early Espresso classic ink.  The ribbon is Soft Suede taffeta and my sentiment comes from the  retired Occasional Quotes stamp set.

Wisteria Fancy Flower

I pulled out another stamp set that has been on the shelf for awhile for this card - Flower Fancy.  First, I used a clear block and stamped some Pool Party ink on my Very Vanilla card stock and then I stamped my image and colored it in with markers. 

The Wisteria Wonder background has been run through the Big Shot using the Stripes textured impressions folder and I finished the card with some pearls and Victoria ribbon.

Simply Soft

Happy Valentine's Day to everyone!  Today also happens to be my 14th Anniversary and we get to celebrate by helping our oldest study for a science test and watch our middle one play at halftime of a basketball game tonight :)

I pulled out my Simply Soft stamp set and made a couple cards combining it with the Mocha Morning specialty paper. 

On the top one, I used the scallop edge border punch for the side of the image and on the bottom one, I used the curly label punch and added a few to the back of the image layer.

On your Wedding Day

I made a few of these cards last week for a customer and an upcoming craft show.  For this card I used Elegant Eggplant as my focal color (don't you love that dotted ribbon!) and added lots of layers and textures of Whisper White.

Gratitude Medallions

I had some extra stamped medallions from the Day of Gratitude set left over from a project I did a while ago and decided to make them into cards.  They are paired with the Well Worn designer series paper and layered on some cork that was cut out with the 3" die in the Big Shot.

Another sample for the Late Night Stampers challenge of a Patriotic card in honor of 9/11.  I chose to use the stamp set The Open Sea and and Patriotic colors - Night of Navy and Cherry Cobbler.

Quilted Baby Card

I found a card made by Barb Mann on our demonstrators community site and had to try one similar to it.  It is a baby card with a mini quilt on it and is done by attaching squares of designer series paper to another piece of card stock and then running it through an impressions folder.

I used the retired Springtime Vintage dsp and Rose Red, Pear Pizzazz and Very Vanilla along with some Victoria crochet trim ribbon and a rhinestone brad.  The faux stitching is done with a white gel pen and the sentiment is from the Occasional Quotes set.

One layer thank you

I love layers, but I have been attempting to make a few Clean and Simple 1 layer cards lately.  This is one of them that I came up with using the Delicate Doilies stamp set.

I hope you are all having a wonderful and safe 4th of July weekend!  It has been a crazy one around here with a 20 year high school reunion in the mix - but lots of fun!

The VC Rocks group challenge last week was to make a card using Peach Parfait, Concord Crush and Poppy Parade on a Clean and Simple card.  This is what mine looks like.

I used a clear block to add Peach Parfait ink to Very Vanilla cardstock and used it as my background for the flowers.  There are also some basic rhinestones in the center of each flower to add a little fun.

Bug Birthday

Another sample for our Late Night Stampers group this week - animals or bugs on a card.  I used a piece of chipboard that had circle cut outs on it to mask some card stock and then sprayed it with a mixture of rubbing alcohol, Peach Parfait reinker drops and Champagne Mist shimmer paint.  After that dried I added the flies from the Nature Walk stamp set.

Our Late Night Stampers challenge this week is cards with animals or bugs on them.  I thought I would make a birthday card using the Under the Stars set and showcase one of the creatures that likes to frequent our backyard lately.  I even caught him on our deck with his nose to our sliding glass door one night!

Hybrid motorcycle card

I had printed some Summertime Splendor designer series paper (available only in My Digital Studio) awhile ago for a project and had some left over.  I thought it would be fun to use part of it as a background for the motorcycle stamp. 

The bottom  layer of the card is tin fold taped onto a piece of cardstock and then run through the Big Shot using the Backgrounds 1 texutrz plate.

Another version of a card I have made before, but with darker colors as the background. 

I used Bravo Burgundy and Night of Navy card stocks and ribbon along with Almost Artichoke, Bashful Blue (sponging on flower background) and Bravo Burgundy ink.

The impressions folder is the Framed Tulips folder in the Occasions Mini catalog.

I added a sentiment and stamp on the inside as well, the sentiment is from Occasional Quotes and the other stamp set used is Because I Care.

Pocket card

I have seen a few cards using the scallop envelope die and wanted make a couple.  The first one didn't quite turn out the way I had planned, it is just too busy with pattern on pattern. 

 So I made a different version and am not quite sure how I feel about this one either, LOL!
