Painted Sympathy

The patterns in the Painted Seasons designer series paper set use a lot of different colors (Call Me Clover, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Grapefruit Grove, Lemon Lime Twist,
Mango Melody, Petal Pink, Pool Party, Poppy Parade, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White) and I have chosen a couple of those colors to coordinate with the card stock and ink on this sympathy card.

I used the retired Tasteful Trim die to cut some Pool Party card stock for an accent piece behind my sentiment and used Neutral card stock colors for the rest of the card.  The ink color is Call Me Clover and my sentiment is from the retired set called Heartfelt Sympathy.

Happy Easter!

 

Today is a fun day to celebrate with family, I hope that you are able to spend time with family on this Easter Sunday as well. 

 

I have a couple things to share today, the first is an Easter card that has a lot of fun texture and the cloud is a framelit in the word bubbles framelits set.



 

The grass is die cut from the tasteful trim die and the eggs are oval framelits. 

 

Next, I was playing with some of the eggs I had boiled for the kids to dye.  The one on the left has 3 colors of reinkers - Coastal Cabana, Crumb Cake and Strawberry Slush.  I used a kleenex to apply the ink and also wipe off the excess.  The glimmer paper came from a past Paper Pumpkin kit.

 

The one on the right has some itty bitty punch shapes that I added with glue dots and there is some Retro Fresh washi tape around the middle.  The stands are made with a 1" strip of Gold card stock and I taped the back with washi tape.

Need for Speed part 2

Today's card is another one using the Need for Speed stamp set and this time around I used the 4 wheeler.  In an attempt to make it look like mudd splatters, I used the color spritzer tool and my Early Espresso marker, but it didn't quite give it the effect I was going for.

There is a strip of Real Red that I cut with the Tasteful Trim die running through the middle of the card and the designer series paper is a preview of one that will be in the new catalog coming out in June.  It will be available to customers as a preview in April so be on the lookout!

I have another sample for our Late Night Stampers challenge this week of Let It Shine. The pictures were taken quickly as I packed for a craft show, but you will get the idea.

I used the silver glimmer paper and Holly Berry Bouquet specialty paper along with the snowflake punch, 2 1/2" circle punch and stocking builder punch.

 

 

The big shot came in for the boarder using the tasteful trim die and I also used the Perfect Polka Dots impressions folder on the circle. The stamp set used is called Gift Givers.
