A Day Without

The fun thing about the Nothing's Better Than stamp set is that there are several options to take when you make a card with it. For example, yesterday the card was about coffee, today chocolate, tomorrow's will be cocktails, etc.  

The designer series paper that I paired it with today is the Plaid Tidings collection and I used a pattern that has Cinnamon Cider on it and tied that into the card stock and ink colors. The stamp set has a two step stamping option for many of the images so that you can color in the chocolates or whatever image you stamp without using markers.

Today's Plan

The next few days I am going to share cards made with the same stamp set called Nothing's Better Than.  It can be purchased as a bundle or with just the stamp set - I only purchased the stamp set and not the dies.

The designer series paper on this card is from the upcoming mini catalog and is called Fine Art Floral. There are some beautiful images in this collection as well as some fun backgrounds like the painted one in the background. The die cut is made with the Tasteful Labels dies.

Happy 15

Today my baby turns 15!  She is one of the few people in the family who will look at the card I make for their birthday and appreciate it since she enjoys making cards with me.  

During Stampin' Up!'s On Stage At Home workshops for demonstrators about a month ago, one project demonstration showed us how to use the clear envelopes to make a quick and easy shaker card and I decided to use that idea on Maddie's birthday card 

this year.

This cards has some sneak peaks as well as a retired item - the Number of Years stamp set - which I used for the 15.  The stamp set I used for the Happy Birthday and the flower image on the envelope is called Art Gallery and will be available in January.  The designer series paper is called Flower and Field and will be a FREE Sale-a-bration item also starting in January.

I added the layers that go on the front of the card and then some random sequins and other little embellishments inside the clear envelope before closing it with some tear and tape adhesive.  You just need to fold over the side of the envelope and attach with adhesive as well and then it is ready to put on the card base.  I used tear and tape adhesive to attach it to the base.

Fine Art Floral

In the upcoming Mini Catalog, there is a designer series paper collection called Fine Art Floral that coordinates with the Golden Garden specialty acetate and I have used them together on the cards below.

If you line up the 12" x 12" designer series paper pattern with the coordinating acetate and cut them together you will get the design on the acetate to match the designer series paper images.  The Fine Art Floral designer series paper is absolutely beautiful all by itself, but it is fun to play with the acetate as well.

The sentiment is from the Many Messages stamp and die cut with the Messages Die.

Darling Donkeys

Yesterday I shared some cards with you made with the Oh So Ombre designer series paper that will be available to earn free during Sale-a-bration starting in January.  Today, I am showing you the reverse side of the designer series paper along with another stamp set you could earn free.

The stamp set is called Darling Donkeys and it has three cute donkey images that are great for pulling out your Stampin' Blends and adding some color to.  The piece behind the matted donkey image is a part of a previous paper pumpkin kit that I cut in half and used one piece on each of these cards.
