Enjoy the Adventure!

The Life's Adventure hostess stamp set has some really fun images to play around with and I decided to mix it with some Sweet Taffy designer series paper (possibly my favorite collection in the Catalog/Idea Book).

There is nothing too complicated about the card, just some bright colors and a fun little arrow from the What's Up punch.

Supplies:
Life's Adventure
Tempting Turquoise ink
Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie, Rich Razzleberry, Tempting Turquoise card stock
Sweet Taffy dsp
What's up punch

Celebrate

On page 13 of the Catalog and Idea Book there is a very versatile stamp set called Fabulous Four and I have chosen it for my card today.  The background of Pear Pizzazz is randomly stamped with one of the sentiments and a stamp from the August Paper Pumpkin kit.

On the corners I used some Typeset specialty paper and added the main sentiment to middle matted with Marina Mist card stock.

Supplies:
Fabulous Four
Pear Pizzazz and Blackberry Bliss ink
Pear Pizzazz, Marina Mist, Very Vanilla and Blackberry Bliss card stock
Typeset specialty paper
Venetian crochet trim ribbon
vintage trinkets
Paper Pumpkin (August '14)

Simple Hello

Sometimes simple is great and I really like the way this simple card took shape.  The idea comes from a sample in our demonstrator magazine that came this month (so many great ideas in those!!).

I added a little baker's twine bow to the single layer card for a small accent.

For the hello image, I used my Blackberry Bliss marker and only inked part of the sentiment because I didn't want it to say hello fall, just hello.

Supplies:
For all things
Whisper White card stock
Hello Honey, Blackberry Bliss and Mossy Meadow ink
Baker's twine

Big Brothers

I had some fun pictures that I took while the kids weren't watching and I thought I would document them. The boys were so sweet to make sure Maddie didn't fall on the rocks while they were setting up for their picture!

My journaling is a little different than what I usually do as I followed the picture line and kind of zig zagged around them.

Blessed by God
Epic Alphabet
Smoky Slate, Lost Lagoon ink
Basic Gray, Smoky Slate, Pool Party, Lost Lagoon, Pear Pizzazz card stock
All is Calm specialty paper

Retro News

There always seems to be leftover scraps of designer series paper on my desk and while this paper is retired, I am sharing a sample with it anyway because you can really use whatever paper and colors you like if you choose to recreate it!

I used the Retro Fresh dsp along with Big News and Something for Baby stamp sets.  A pretty quick and simple card, especially if you have the scraps already cut!

Something for Baby
Soft Suede, Daffodil Delight ink
Pool Party, Very Vanilla card stock

Phase 10 Box

Over the summer the kids and I played a lot of games of Phase 10 and the box kind of had seen better days.  When I was looking for fun things to alter one day I picked up this box and it wasn't until I had it sitting on my desk for about a month that I opened it and discovered it would be great for holding the Phase 10 cards.

Before adding any papers to the box, I used my Rich Razzleberry blendabilities maker (the middle shade) and colored the wood in the places that I knew would show after I added the papers and card stock.

Next, I added some card stock layers and my "phase 10" using the Sweet Taffy designer series paper, Pumpkin Pie, Tempting Turquoise and Rich Razzleberry card stock.

Lastly, I added a couple arrows, one that is a wooden essential element which I also used the blendabilities marker on and the other is a punched piece from the What's Up punch.

Finally, I added some 3/4" Chevron ribbon (Pumpkin Pie) and had my new game card holder.

Supplies:
Metro Type alphabet, Epic Alphabet
Tempting Turquoise, Pumpkin Pie ink
Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie and Rich Razzleberry card stock
What's up punch
Wooden essentials elements
3/4" chevron ribbon
Sweet Taffy dsp
corner punch
sticky strip
Rich Razzleberry Blendabilities
