Confirmation Day

 

My youngest has her first Holy Communion and Confirmation this coming weekend so I needed to get some cards made up for that.  This is one of the cards I created, using the same theme with different colors.

 

I found the saying online although I changed a few things and added a Petal Potpourri background.  The cross behind the words was stamped with Sahara Sand.

I thought I would share an Easter card with you today as we celebrate.  These are cards I don't make all that often, but I did put together one this year. 

 

I chose to use Daffodil Delight, Pool Party, Whisper White, and Lost Lagoon as my card stock colors and Early Espresso, Soft Suede, Daffodil Delight and Pool Party for inks.

Confirmation Blessing

 

I have already shared the gifts I plan to give the confirmation students at my church on Sunday, so I thought I would share the cards with you as well. 

 

They are quite simple cards actually using the Serene Silhouettes stamp set and a Confirmation Blessing I found while searching online that I printed out.  There are a few variations on the same theme, but you get the idea.  I stamped a cross from the retired Crosses of Hope on the envelopes as well.

Prayer Journal

Lately, I have been working on some prayer journals that will be going to confirmation students at my church later this year.  They start out as a plain Epic Day This and That Journal and when they are complete, have lots of prayers, verses and sayings in them to get someone started with prayer.  There is of course, lots of room for them to add their own thoughts and ideas.

 

 

On the cover, I used some Epic Day This and That designer series paper and washi tape along with the Hexagon Hive thinlits die and some silver basic buttons.

 

The verses, prayers, etc. that I have compiled to put into the journals are printed using My Digital Studio and when they are on the page look something like this...

 

I add stamped images and sentiments throughout the journals as well...

 

Hopefully they will find the gift useful and even enjoy the variety of colors and patterns throughout the book.

 

 

Confirmation Blessing

 

My middle child is getting Confirmed today along with his First Communion and this is the card I made for him.  I found the verse searching online and have used it on lots of different Confirmation cards.

 

 

I used the Crosses of Hope stamp set and Soft Suede classic ink.

 

The designer paper is a strip from Epic Day This and That and I added an Early Espresso flagged layer under the dsp and cross.
