Love and care card

I used up some retired DSP for this card along with the now retired hostess set Love and Care and the current hostess set Faith in Nature.

It is a super quick and easy card to make and you can see a little tearing along the edge of the Peach Parfait layer under the sentiment.

Supplies:
Love and Care
Faith in Nature
retired DSP
Peach Parfait, Pear Pizzazz, Poppy Parade, Whisper White card stock
Poppy Parade, Pear Pizzazz and Peach Parfait classic ink
5/8" Daffodil Delight grosgrain ribbon

Faith in Nature

I played with the Faith in Nature stamp set  a little more with these cards using Pool Party, Soft Suede and Crumb Cake as my colors.

The card bases are both embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper impressions folder and the DSP is retired Elegant Soiree.  The ribbon is also retired and is the back side of the dotted Soft Suede ribbon.

The sentiment is from the Love and Care stamp set and I added a couple pearls to the ribbon on each one as well.

July Stamp Club projects

It was so fun to actually be able to meet for club again this month!  I was sooo ready :)

You will notice the card on the left has been on the blog before, I used it for a challenge on Late Night Stampers awhile back... The second one is new and I showed the ladies a fun technique with water.

We also spritzed Lucky Limeade mixed with alcohol over the pear image, but it is very subtle and doesn't show up well in the pictures.

The layouts were fairly simple ones using the Delicate Doilies stamp set and matching Flirtatious Specialty paper.

There is a little paper pleating on the page and I used some of the die cut doilies - they are so fun!

VC Rocks Blog Hop

Welcome  to the VC Rocks Blog Hop!  You may have come from Brenda Hugar's blog and you can go back to the master list at the VC Rocks blog at any time.

This month's blog hop theme is anything but a card so I thought I would share a couple fun projects.

The first is one I saw on our demonstrator website and thought I would try it out with a different die along with the one the demonstrator, Nicole Slaubaugh used.  Hers was created using the Matchbox die and you can see I added a couple butterflies and basic rhinestones to the top of mine.

Before you put your card stock through the Big Shot, you need to use some fabric and glue stick and cover the card stock.  Then, when you place the card stock on your die, make sure the card stock side is next to the die, not the fabric side. I used the Springtime Vintage fabric on these  two boxes.

On the second box I used the Box #2 die and that piece of cardstock is covered completely with fabric. The boxes both were very easy to work with.

Finally, I just decorated with some flowers and butterflies (Beautiful Butterflies Die, Beautiful wings embosslit and Fun Flowers Die) and added some fun little embellishments (basic rhinestones and vintage flower adornments).

Supplies:
Very Vanilla card, Baja Breeze, Marina Mist and Pear Pizzazz card stock
sticky strip
Springtime Vintage fabric
glue stick
Matchbox Die
Box #2 die
Big Shot
Fun Flowers Die
Beautiful Butterflies Die
Beautiful wings embosslit
dimensionals
basic rhinestones
vintage flower adornments
River Rock stitched ribbon (retired)
Vintage Trinkets
Victoria crochet trim ribbon

The next project I am going to share is just made with a shadow box frame as the base, this one is an 8" x 8" frame.  I embossed the flower image from the Elements of Style stamp set on two corners of some Presto Patterns Specialty paper (now retired) and then brayered Bashful Blue ink all over the paper.

The background piece is Night of Navy that has been run through the Big Shot using the Vintage Wallpaper impressions folder and distressed a little bit.  This is what it looks like outside the frame.

And a close up...or two :)

The color spritzer and Night of Navy marker added some more texture to the base paper and I sponged everything else with Bashful Blue classic ink and some Champagne Mist shimmer paint.

Supplies:
Presto Patterns specialty paper
Night of Navy, Bashful Blue and Whisper White card stock
Elements of Style, Faith in Nature stamp sets
Big Shot
Vintage Wallpaper impressions folder
versamark
white embossing powder
brayer
color spritzer tool
Champagne Mist shimmer paint
sponge dauber
library clips
music notes wheel
antique brads
white taffeta ribbon
sticky strip
snail adhesive

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed the projects... now you can go and see what Kristi Jaenisch has in store for you.

CCMC153

Another sample using the upcoming hostess set called Faith in Nature, this time using the sketch challenge from Create with Connie and Mary

I stamped the pear image with Soft Suede ink and then used a blender pen to add Pear Pizzazz and Daffodil Deight to it.  Then I sponged Soft Suede around the edges and Baja Breeze the rest of the way in to the image.

The thank you is punched using the modern label punch, I first made the punch, then I put it in the punch again and cut it off so it was smaller.  Next I just used my scissors to even up the top and bottom.

Supplies:
Faith in Nature stamp set
Elegant Soiree dsp
Soft Suede, Very Vanilla card stock
Baja Breeze, Soft Suede, Pear Pizzazz, Daffodil Delight classic inks and markers
vanilla seam binding
hemp twine
Victoria Crochet trim ribbon
modern label punch
sponges
blender pens

CCMC-SUM03

My preorder goodies arrived yesterday so I had to start playing with them!  On this card, I used one of the new hostess sets called Faith in Nature.

I decided to tie my playing in with the color challenge at Create with Connie and Mary Summer Edition.

The picture is a little dark, I apologize for that.  I stamped the pear image on watercolor paper with Black Stazon ink and then used markers and blender pens to color it in.  The background is textured with the Elegant Lines impressions folder.
