Great Sport Birthday

Today is my dad's birthday and while I won't give him this card, he would probably like it anyway since he loves sports! 

 

There is a combination of Great Sport and Blue Ribbon stamp sets on this card with some added sequin trim and retro fresh washi tape.

 



 

I took apart some of the sequin trim and added a few of the sequins randomly with liquid Tombow.

Hit by a Pitch

With baseball just around the corner again, I thought I would share the pages I put together for my middle son's season last year.  Of course I took too many pictures and had to put quite a few on each page (3 pages!!) but I wanted to keep them all in his scrapbook.

 



 

In the picture below, he was hit in the elbow by a pitch during the season ending tournament and I somehow caught the tail end of it in a picture.  He was ok after a couple minutes and went on to finish catching the rest of the day.

 

I used some Watercolor Wonder designer series paper and the Banners framelits, but I think it got a little too busy and I wouldn't try this mix of patterns again unless I had less pictures on the page.

 

The last page is more simple using My Digital Studio to add the journaling and title and the Great sport stamp set for the baseball images.

Titan Basketball

I was going through pictures the other day and realized I had not scrapped the 2012 basketball season for Hunter yet so I did that year at the same time as the 2013 season. 

 

Each layout is similar, using the Kaleidoscope designer  series paper and Silver glimmer paper.  It decided to make them somewhat similar because when I looked at the pictures of Hunter, I think the only difference is the number on his jersey!  He hardly looks any different to me.

 

I added some Fancy Foil Silver designer vellum and silver brads to the top of this one...

 

for each, I used the ABC-123 Sketch Alphabet and Numbers stamp set for the date and used the Silver Metallic ink.

 

The Great Sport stamp set also came into play and I stamped those images with Black Stazon ink.

Take Me out to the Ball Game

 

I went to scrap this year's baseball pictures and found that I had way too many of them.  This is how I chose to showcase as many as I could.

 



 

The mat is an 8 1/2" x 11" piece of card stock and I put the pictures on to fill up the page.

Play Ball with Thinlits

 

The new Thinlits are so much fun to play with and have so many possibilities!  For these cards I went with a boyish birthday there and used the Gorgeous Grunge, Bring on the Cake, Great Sport and Blue Ribbon stamp sets.

 

On each one, I added a scallop circle to both sides of the portion that flips and either a baseball or a Happy Birthday.

 

On one card, I added some brights Candy Dots as well.

Our Late Night Stampers Challenge this week is to use a layout as inspiration for a card or vice versa.  It can also be a 3d item that is inspired by another type of item. 

 

I am using the layout I showed you yesterday (see below) as my inspiration for a card. 

 

 

I used not only the same layout, but the same dsp, card stock colors and stamped images.

 

The difference is instead of the picture, I layered a sentiment from Word Play.

So Different

 

I just love the picture I used on this scrapbook page.  It was taken last summer while we visited some family and it tells so much about these two.

 

 

I used Betsy's Blossoms stamp set for some background as well as the circle from Great Sport (the piece left over from the largest image) and a sponge dauber.

 

The dsp is Sunshine and Sprinkles - I thought it matched their clothing colors pretty well and I used MDS for the title and journaling.

 

If you can't read the t-shirt, it says "I don't need your attitude, I've got my own" - and it is a perfect shirt for Nora.
