Brand New Niece

Well, she isn't quite brand new anymore being born the end of January, but this project was created for an event that would have taken place during Sale-a-bration.  Hopefully the event will be rescheduled soon, but since we only use products available at the time of the event and many of the items in this project were from Sale-a-bration it wouldn't still be used and I just wanted to share it anyway.  Whew, long explanation...

My sister - in - law and her husband welcomed a new little girl to their family a few months ago and I thought using the Heartfelt banner kit from Sale-a-bration for a layout would be fun.

The paper tea lace doily is sewn onto the canvas banner piece with linen thread in the picture above.

Each of the felt balls on the second page were cut in half before they were attached, a little bit messy to do, but it turned out pretty fun.

"Brand new" was stamped on the essentials wooden element piece with Pear Pizzazz ink.

More banner pieces and a close up of the half felt ball...

Finally, I made a card to go along with the layout using the same theme and products.

Burlap and Sunshine

While browsing through a craft store a few weeks ago, I found some stretched burlap (like a stretched canvas) and thought it would be fun to decorate.  My daughter has been asking me to add new creations to her walls so I thought she might like this piece...

Again, the Hexagon Hive framelits are in play in this piece, I just cut off the edges to give them a rougher look and placed them behind the picture and saying.

The smaller hexagons attached to the die cut are pieces that came out of another one I had die cut from Island Indigo card stock.

I added a little texture with the Chevron embossing folder on some Crisp Cantaloupe card stock and also added some 5/8" natural chevron ribbon.

My saying is one I found on Pinterest that I liked and then I put it into My Digital Studio and added some stamps around and behind it before printing it out.

Heart you

Another Valentine's Day or Anniversary option today using the Fresh Prints designer series paper and the Countless Sayings 1 and 2 stamp sets.

I added in a few pieces from the Heartfelt banner kit (Sale-a-bration 2014) and some Gold Fancy Foil Vellum as well.

I used Real Red and Metallic Gold ink and punched out the circles with the 1" and 1 3/8" circle punches.

To add the Gold Fancy Foil Vellum, I used an Antique brad rather than adhesive.

Supplies:
Countless sayings 1 and 2
Real Red, Baked Brown Sugar, Whisper White card stock
Fresh Prints dsp
Gold Fancy Foil Vellum
Heartfelt Banner kit
heart punch
1" circle punch
1 3/8" circle punch
Tea Lace paper doilies
Antique brad
