May Stamp Club

Time for stamp club projects again!  I used several of the 2013-2015 In Colors this time around since I knew they would be available when the new catalog comes out.  May is sometimes hard to plan projects for - before the catalog retires, but also before I have new product to create samples.

 

 

The layout uses the Crisp Cantaloupe, Coastal Cabana, Strawberry Slush and Baked Brown Sugar along with the coordinating dsp stack.

 

I chose the Lovely as a Tree stamp set for the background on this card and Trust God for my sentiment, throwing in some Soho Subway dsp and the Honeycomb folder.

 

The final project uses the Blessed Easter stamp set and is sentiment free.

You Make Me Happy

I decided to do a fun little 3d project for our Late Night Stampers Challenge this time around - the theme is ribbon...

 



 

I found this cute little bottle at Target last week and filled it with some jelly beans.  Then, I wrapped some 5/8" Natural Chevron Ribbon around the whole jar and also added a little piece to the handle.

 

Next comes the fun part!  I used My Digital Studio and some Shrinky Dink plastic to create the little sentiment tag (love these!!) and added it to the stamped image layer with Linen thread.

 

 

Can you guess how many jelly beans are in the jar?  LOL!  I didn't count them and I am sure that by the time you see this post, they will be gone (I can't hide candy from the kids very long around here!).

Keep Me in Your Heart

 

The Late Night Stampers challenge starting today is Spring flowers or colors and when I think of spring I think of tulips so...

 



I found another fun thing to alter on my trip to the craft store a little while ago.  This is just a piece of wood, about 1/4" thick that I added some specialty paper to and decorated.

 



 

The saying is another one that I found on Pinterest and had pinned - I thought it was a sweet one! 

 

To get the Naturals Composition specialty paper to the correct size for this shape, I just traced the outline on the back side of the specialty paper and cut it out.  It is attached with sticky strip and then to remove any imperfections in the cutting, I sanded down the corners.

 

It is a little difficult to see, but for the Crushed Curry tulips, I colored them in with markers an then also colored another set and cut out the blossoms, adding them to the original piece with dimensionals to make them pop.

 

For these tulips, I used Primrose Petals and highlighted them with Cherry Cobbler.  Each set is also sponged on the edges with Soft Suede ink.

 

I had to add a little Essentials Wooden Element - they are just too much fun!  and I used a stamp from Hip Notes and some Soft Suede ink.

 

The background of the saying has some ink spritzed on it in various colors and also a few images from the Happy Watercolor stamp set.  Linen thread around the whole piece finishes off the elements of this creation - now to find a good place to put it!

Watecolored Easter

Today I have another Easter card to share and you will notice it uses the same stamp set as what I have already shown you - Easter Blessings.  There are a couple reasons for that - first, I love the tulips and second, I generally don't purchase too many Easter sets because it seems to be a holiday that people don't send a lot of cards for. 

 

After I made a few of these , I decided to cut off the saying and mount it separately so I can easily stamp the tulips any time I want without masking off the sentiment.

 



 

Back to this card though...I used Coastal Cabana and Wild Wasabi markers for the flowers and Early Espresso for the sentiment.  After that was stamped, I added some images from Happy Watercolor using Soft Sky and Crumb Cake ink.

 

The final touch was some Watercolor Wonder designer washi tape.

Ok, we are still a ways away from Easter, but I had to get some of those great tulips on a card to keep me from thinking about the deep freeze we are living in so much of the time this winter!

 

The Blessed Easter image is stamped with Black Stazon and then I colored in the image with Pistachio Pudding, Pink Pirouette and Strawberry Slush.

 

I kept the card pretty simple and used a layer of Whisper White that was embossed with the Stripes folder behind the black card stock.

Finally, the last design in the Watercolor Wonder note card set and I might love this one the most!  I used the Blessed Easter single stamp and left the sentiment off of it. 

 



 

The flowers are colored in with Wild Wasabi, Crisp Cantaloupe and Calypso Coral markers and my sentiment is from Countless sayings.
