Fancy and Designer

When I put together this card, I was using up some scraps of Textured Chic Specialty paper, which has now retired. 

The other items on the card are still current or available on the clearance rack. The stamp set is called Something Fancy, and the die cut was made with the Designer Tags dies, you can see more information about each of those products below.

The Happy Labels stamp set has some great sentiments and can be used for lots of different occasions. I decided to make a few cards for expectant parents paring this stamp set with some of the retiring designer series paper.

The card on the left has designer series paper from the Awash in Beauty collection, this product is no longer available for purchase. The one on the right has the Textured Chic specialty paper, I think this collection is one of my favorites as it has so many colors and fun patterns mixed with gold accents.

The sentiment layers were punched out with the Banners Pick a Label Punch.

Textured Sympathy

I really love the patterns in the Textured Chic specialty paper and decided to make a few sympathy cards using the pattern with faint leaves over the top of the color and texture. 

In addition to the specialty paper, I added a piece of Crumb Cake card stock embossed with the Painted 3d folder underneath the sentiment layer which was die cut with the Stitched So Sweetly dies. 

The sentiment comes from the Peaceful Moments stamp set and the leaves stamped around it are from the retired set called Gorgeous Leaves.

This is another Bridal Shower card that I put together a while ago using the Abigal Rose designer series paper, Textured Chic specialty paper and Brushed Metallic paper.

The stamp sets I used were Wonderful Moments (retired) and Cottage Rose along with Soft Suede and Petal Pink ink. The circles are die cut using the Layering Circles dies and there are also a few Basic Pearls added for texture.

There are a lot of things going on in this bridal shower card including some retired products. 

In the background I used a retired piece of designer series paper, and the sentiment stamps are also retired from In the Moment and 

Many Messages. 

The second layer of designer series paper is from the Textured Chic Collection, and I have created die cuts using the Cottage Flower dies, Messages die, and Stylish Shapes dies.

The flower image was colored in slightly with Petal Pink ink on a Blending Brush.

I just love the Soft Seedlings stamp set and wanted to create a card with the main image in a non-traditional color. For this card, I chose Blushing Bride as the ink color for the leaves...

In the background, I added a piece of Textured Chic specialty paper to tie in the ink color.  The sentiment is stamped on a die cut made with the Stitched Rectangles dies and I added some Glossy dots for accents.

One of the things I love about the Cottage Rose bundle is that it coordinates with the Abigail Rose designer series paper, and you can die cut some of the images in the designer series paper using the dies in the Cottage Flowers dies collection. The large image on this card was created that way...

After I die cut the flowers, I took some Blending Brushes and used Pool Party, Soft Sea Foam and Pale Papaya ink and added some color to the image. 

In the background, I used a piece of Textured Chic specialty paper and a strip of 6" x 6" Glimmer paper. The sentiment layer was die cut using the Stylish Shapes dies.
