Hello Sunshine

When I saw this project kit in the Occasions Catalog, I knew my daughter would want me to put one together for her.  It is the cutest little wire frame and I didn't use half the pieces in the kit to put it together.

The "Best.Day.Ever." image is from a Sale-a-bration stamp set called Best Day Ever, go figure! :)  It is stamped with Colorbox Chalk ink (also in the Occasions catalog in three colors - woo hoo!).

Sometime things don't quite turn out the way you planned...on the Crushed Curry photo die cut frame, I accidentally dropped the Colorbox chalk ink...oops!  Well, I decided to just go with it and added some more distressing with it.

(My pom pom skills need a little work...)

This would make a great gift for so many people!  I am already thinking a 4H project for my nieces as well...Oh the possibilities.

More Watercolor Winter

Another card from the Watercolor Winter Simply Created kit to share with you today.  The pieces you see on the card are all die cut and ready for you, the only addition is the water colored ink on the tree and the stamping on the card stock strips.

I used the Endless wishes stamp set for the snowflakes and words.

County Fair

The county fair is always such a fun time, I try to get some fun pictures each year for  the kids scrapbooks, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.  This year I was able to get a couple good ones and put together pages for each child.

I had some leftover stamped and die cut Perfectly Preserved images that I thought went well with the theme and added some Typeset specialty paper and some sewing as well.

The sewing is a new thing for me and it was fun to play with a little without getting too technical.

Supplies:
Perfectly Preserved
Real Red, Wild Wasabi, Basic Gray ink
Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Smoky Slate card stock
Typeset specialty paper

Watercolor Winter

Each catalog has some great Simply Created kits and they seem to get better and better every time!  This one is in the Holiday Catalog and is called Watercolor Winter Simply Created Kit.  This is just one of the cards I put together with it (the kit makes 20 and you will have leftover pieces!)

I used the paintbrush, water and Soft Suede ink to watercolor the sled and letters.  For the snowflake, I used the template in the kit and a inked up sponge.

I will share some more creations from the kit in the next few days - don't miss out on getting one for yourself before the Holiday Catalog disappears!

Happy Happy!

Another sneak peek for you today from the Occasions Catalog, I had to make a birthday card to share with you today since my middle child is turning 11!

Happy Birthday Wyatt!

I made a one layer card and layered some of the stamps in the set (it is photopolymer and easy to layer the images!!).  There are sentiments for birthday, baby, graduation, wedding and celebrating in this set so it is very versatile as well as fun!

Supplies:
Celebrate Today
Coastal Cabana, Pistachio Pudding, Baked Brown Sugar ink
Whisper White card stock

The designer series paper I chose for this one is called Birthday Bash specialty paper.
