Perfect Thanks

I had a goal to work through lots of my scraps while I was making a bunch of thank you notes to give to a couple nephews to use for graduation gifts and I think I did pretty well!  This is one of the cards that came out of the scrap project - I think I made around 10 of them similar to this one.  I didn't want to get to crazy with embellishments and layers since they are for boys but I think these turned out simple and fun enough for their purpose.

The designer series paper is from the Tasty Treats specialty collection and the stamp set I used is called Perfectly Wrapped.

Supplies:
Perfectly Wrapped
Watermelon Wonder, Daffodil Delight ink
Whisper White, Daffodil Delight card stock
Tasty Treats specialty paper

Make a Wish

The card I have to share with you today has very little stamping on it and uses mainly pieces from the Hello Lovely Project Life Accessory Pack.

The green die cut piece, which was already that way in the kit, has a layer of Serene Scenery designer series paper behind it and it is also popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I stamped a dotted line below all my elements using the Perfectly Wrapped stamp set and Pool Party ink.

I love the Project Life kits and don't always use them for their intended purpose (which is ok!) and love it when I can put together a card quickly with some great texture and dimension like this one using a kit or two.

Supplies:
Perfectly Wrapped
Pool Party ink
Whisper White card stock

Happy Day

I love the colors and designs in the Tasty Treats Specialty paper pack even though I don't intend to purchase the Cool Treats stamp set to go along with it (or the matching Frozen Treats Framelits dies) - at least not yet, LOL!  I decided that I wouldn't have enough use for those but we will see as time goes by I guess!

I chose a piece of the specialty paper as my focus on this card and added some Watermelon Wonder card stock behind it that was embossed with the Hexagons dynamic folder.

The sentiment is from the Perfectly Wrapped stamp set and I used the 2 3/8" scallop punch and 2" circle punch.

Supplies:
Perfectly Wrapped
Peekaboo Peach, Watermelon Wonder
Pool Party, Tip Top Taupe, Watermelon Wonder, Whisper White card stock
Tasty Treats specialty dsp
hexagons dynamic folder
scallop circle punch 2 3/8"
circle punch 2"

October 2016 Paper Pumpkin Alternative

My alternative project for you using this month's Paper Pumpkin kit is a scrapbook page.  The only items added that are not in the kit are the 12 x 12 piece of Cajun Craze card stock, the pieces of Early Espresso and Delightful Dijon card stock, linen thread, burlap ribbon and images from Perfectly Wrapped.

The pieces to mat photos are made from cutting the card base in half...

I cut down the textured and die cut piece of card stock and used it at the top and then added the die cut pieces through the middle...

The little circles are from the Perfectly Wrapped stamp set...

I stamped the image from the kit behind the die cut leaves and then added the sequins and window sheet over the top.  To cover up the dimensional strip of adhesive I added the strips of Early Espresso and Delightful Dijon cardstock.

The linen thread at the corners is from a previous kit.

Supplies:

Perfectly Wrapped
Cajun Craze, Early Espresso, Delightful Dijon card stock
linen thread

Simple Thanks

This time of year, more often than not my projects that I share with you can be made fairly quickly since I am usually either just finishing harvest or cleaning up the harvesting equipment about now.  Unfortunately this year we are barely making a dent in the harvest at this point so there may be some days I miss posting too.

I chose the Perfectly Wrapped stamp set for this card as well as the Hardwood large stamp for the background.  There is a layer of Old Olive card stock with some Serene Scenery designer series paper over the top of the hardwood image and I added a little burlap ribbon for texture.

Supplies:
Perfectly Wrapped, Hardwood
Old Olive ink
Old Olive, Early Espresso, Whisper White, Crumb Cake card stock
burlap ribbon

To You

Today's card uses colors I don't pick out of my stash all that often lately.  I know that once I work on Christmas projects the Cherry Cobbler will be a common color for me to grab, but right now it is kind of in the back of the box.  Delightful Dijon is another one I don't grab for often, but I like the two colors together and thought I would create a card with them.

The Perfectly Wrapped stamp set was used on the card base as well as the circle and sentiment.  I also added a die cut from the Sunshine Wishes collection and some burlap ribbon (I just love that stuff even though it leaves burlap lint everywhere!).

Supplies:
Perfectly Wrapped
Delightful Dijon, Basic Black, Cherry Cobbler ink
Whisper White, Basic Black, Delightful Dijon, Cherry Cobbler card stock
circle punches
Sunshine Wishes thinlits
Serene Scenery dsp
burlap ribbon

New Permit

I have another sneak peek item for you today in the layout below.  I used a piece of the Halloween Night specialty designer series paper as my page base - there are several designs that do not have to be used for Halloween as you can see...

I added some images from Playful Backgrounds behind my layers with Old Olive ink and then added some patterns from the Serene Scenery designer series paper pack before adding my picture.

The little arrows were stamped using a retired Project Life stamp set and I added some epoxy stars leftover from a Paper Pumpkin kit.

My title comes from the Perfectly Wrapped stamp set and I used some circle punches for part of it as well.

The white threads are thick baker's twine that was taken apart.

Supplies:
Playful Backgrounds, Perfectly Wrapped
Old Olive, Delightful Dijon ink
Basic Black, Whisper White, card stock
Halloween Night specialty designer series paper
Serene Scenery designer series paper
thick bakers twine
circle punches

Happy Day For You

My daughter had her last Reader's Night celebration at school this year, she will be headed to the middle school in a month or so and they don't continue this idea there.

She put a lot of hours into reading lots of books to earn tickets so that she had more chances to win a new bike - each class had one winner.  This lucky girl won the bike in the 4th grade class!  Her brother actually won one a few years ago as well.

Each student also made a story board with information about their favorite informational book - she chose one about Taylor Swift since she is such a big fan :)  They stood by their boards and those in attendance could ask questions and admire the boards the kids put so much time and effort into.

I know she will love having this page in her scrapbook someday!
