Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to you all!  One last Christmas card to share with you today to celebrate.  I have used the Stitched Shapes Framelits, some Pinecones and Petals designer series paper and the Wonder of Christmas stamp set.

To accent the card I added a lace doily and some gold metallic baker's twine.  This one would be great for reproducing if you had lots to make and was one of my stamp a stack cards this month.

I mixed up some different designer series paper packs on this card, I chose the Presents and Pinecones collection for the piece on top of the textured Early Espresso and the Serene Scenery collection for my focal piece.

For the texture on the Early Espresso layer, I chose the Lovely Lace folder.

Back to a Christmas card to share with you today!  This one uses some designer series paper scraps kind of randomly thrown onto a piece of card stock that was stamped with some Gold Metallic ink.

My snowflake is also gold metallic and I added a retired button with some baker's twine in the middle of it.  The words were stamped with Basic Black ink and cut out by hand before I popped them up with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Well, here is the last school picture page for awhile!  For Maddie's page I chose some different patterns from the Presents and Pinecones designer series paper package as my background.

I also used the Chevron border punch - both the punched pieces and the negative part for accents as well as some retired Project Life pieces and an In Color doily.

The dimension and texture of the wooden accents is what draws me to them when I put together scrapbook pages.

Cookie Cutter Ornaments

I saw some cute cookie cutter Christmas ornaments online one day and wanted to try a few out for myself. 

The first thing I did was pick out my paper.  Then, I cut a piece that was slightly bigger than the ornament and pulled out my fine tip glue pen. 

  I set the paper down with the ornament on top and added a generous coating of glue to the inside edges. 

After that dried, I used a sharp knife to trim around the ornament. Then on to the fun stuff!

I added some more glue and chunky glitter around the edges.  Each one has a little Christmas trinket hanging inside on the Candy Cane Lane baker's twine that will also hold the ornament on the tree.

To embellish them, I used the Starlight thinlits, basic pearls, and the Christmas magic stamp set.

Jingle Bell Box

Although it may not look like it, today's projects uses quite a few of the same products as yesterday's card.  The stamp set and one of the designer series paper packs as well as the ink color and a couple of the card stock colors...

To start off, I had a piece of 5" x 9" Crumb Cake card stock and I scored it at 1", 4", 5" and 8" on the long side and 1" and 4" on the short side.  I made my cuts to fold it into a box and then added some layers of decoration...

The bellyband around the box is made from Presents and Pinecones designer series paper and since the full length of the 12" designer series paper was just a little bit too short to wrap around, I added a jingle bell where the two ends meet to make it look like it is long enough as you can maybe see in the picture below.

My jingle bells were stamped, colored and cut out.  After I colored them I added some shimmer with the Wink of Stella glitter brush.

This month, Stampin' Up! is offering a while supplies last bundle (you can purchase the items separately too) called Thankful Branches.  My favorite thing about the stamp set is the font and there is a good variety of sayings as well.

I chose to use some of the tree images along with the "Thank you" and layered them on top of some Presents and Pinecones designer series paper, Kraft rope trim that I pulled apart and some thick bakers twine that I also pulled apart.

The designer series paper and Kraft rope trim are from the Holiday catalog that will be available to purchase from on September 1st.
