You're Awesome

I am using another new In Color today on this card coordinating it with the designer series paper pattern from the Expressions in Ink specialty paper collection.  The Pale Papaya color is used to mat the designer series paper and is also in the ribbon that is wrapped around that layer.

The circle was punched out with the 2" circle punch after I embossed some White Velvet ribbon with the Cable Knit folder and the sentiment layer is made using the Many Happenings stamp set and Many Messages die.

Supplies:
Many Happenings
Soft Suede ink
Crumb Cake, Basic White, Pale Papaya card stock
Pale Papaya and White ribbon
Cable Knit Folder
2" circle Punch
Many Messages die
Expressions in Ink specialty paper
White Velvet paper

With a variety of font styles and a range of sentiments, the Many Happenings Stamp Set is a necessary addition to your cardmaking stamp collection! Not only will this stamp satisfy every cardmaking need, the sentiments are arranged on a single stamp, which allows for coordinating dies to precisely cut out each sentiment, minimizing any fussy-cutting work on your end.

* 1 cling stamp
* Suggested clear block (sold separately): f

Enjoy the Little Things

Well, if things work out like I hope they do in a few hours I will be really enjoying the little things - a weekend scrapbooking retreat with lots of my great friends!  Since I am writing this post a week early, my hope is that we won't be still digging potatoes so I can get to the retreat!  I am in need of some down time and friends, it has been a long haul this harvest season.

These notebooks were really easy to dress up since they already had the cute chevron covers.  I textured some Whisper White card stock with the Cable Knit folder and stamped my sentiments, added some mats and some ruched ribbon and I had some fun little notebooks ready to go.

Supplies:
Layering Love
Dapper Denim, Emerald Envy ink
Whisper White, Basic Black, Tip Top Taupe card stock
ruched ribbon
notebooks
Cable Knit folder

The Reason

Today I have another Christmas card to throw into the mix, I always like to do a few of these before I am really into making Christmas projects so I don't have quite so many to make when the time comes.

For this one, I chose the Reason for the Season stamp set - one of my favorites.  I have used the Warmth and Cheer designer series paper and Cable Knit folder to add texture to the card.

Supplies:
Reason for the Season
Dapper Denim ink
Dapper Denim, Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler card stock
linen thread
In Color doilies
2" circle punch
Warmth and Cheer designer series paper
Cable knit folder

Cable Knit Christmas

When I began creating this card, I only knew I wanted to use the Merry Tags framelits as the focal point.  After I had cut those pieces out, the rest of the card just kind of fell into place.  I sponged and rolled edges on some This Christmas specialty paper and layered it onto some Early Espresso card stock and then again layered that on top of some Cherry Cobbler card stock that was embossed with the Cable knit folder.

The sentiment was made by curving the Merry Christmas photopolymer stamp on a block before I stamped it and then punched it out with the Duet banner punch.

All the elements of the card were sponged with Soft Suede ink.

Supplies:
Star of Light
Soft Suede, Early Espresso ink
Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Early Espresso card stock
This Christmas specialty paper
Cable knit folder
duet banner punch
mini jingle bells
Merry Tags framelits

Give Thanks

I have another altered craft store find to share with you today.  I found a 5 pack of these wooden pieces, they are about 8 1/2" x 11" in the clearance section and knew I could find some fun things to do with them. In fact two of my nieces and my daughter made their own versions of this project too!

I started off using the Timeless Textures stamp set and randomly stamping the images in different colors - Soft Suede, Pool Party, Soft Sky, Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand...then I added some denim paint that I had left over from some other projects just kind of brushing it in random spots.

I added some lace trim and burlap ribbon to the bottom and the started with my layers.  There is some Smoky Slate card stock embossed with the Cable Knit folder, Serene Scenery designer series paper and some chicken wire that I cut into about a 6" x 4" piece.

My sentiment is from the Suite Seasons stamp set, a very versatile holiday greeting set in the Holiday catalog.

I also used a couple retired Stampin' Up! items, I always love the little flowers and have many of them left over to play with now and then!

Supplies:
Timeless Textures, Suite Seasons
Soft Suede, Pool Party, Soft Sky, Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand, Dapper Denim, Delightful Dijon ink
Smoky Slate, Dapper Denim, Very Vanilla, Delightful Dijon card stock
Serene Scenery dsp
lace trim
burlap ribbon
in color doilies
Cable knit folder
gold binder clips

Cable Knit Thank You

One of the new embossing folders in the Holiday catalog is a little different than the ones we have been using.  It is thicker and only requires one of the clear plates when you run it through the Big Shot.  The impression it leaves is deeper and really shows up on the card below.

I paired it with the Thoughtful Branches stamp set and some By the Shore designer series paper for a thank you card that really pops.

Supplies:
Thoughtful Branches
Old Olive, Soft Suede ink
Very Vanilla, Soft Suede, Pool Party card stock
lace trim
cable knit folder
