Comfort Cafe Meets Daring Adventure

 

I had some leftover pieces of Comfort Cafe and Fanfare dsp and thought I would pair them with the Daring Adventure stamp set. 

 

 

The card has a few layers, but they are all attached with snail adhesive so this would be a great card to send in the mail (no embellishments).

Colorful Adventure

 

Another fun project to share with you today from the UStamp with Dawn and Friends Technique Boutique event.  This one is called Colorful Adventure Card Set and the technique is melted watercolor crayons.

Raspberry Adventure

This week our challenge at Late Night Stampers includes tearing. 

I used some Naturals Composition specialty paper and also a layer of Primrose Petals that I embossed with the Chevron folder.  The background is stamped with Primrose Petals ink as is the sentiment. 

Behind the sentiment I added a strip of Victoria Crochet trim ribbon and a small piece of Crumb Cake tulle and tied knots in each end.

Need for Speed

This is one of Stampin' Up!'s new advertisements for some magazines - isn't is fun?!

The card I have for you today is one using the melted water color crayon background that I have shown you before.  I added some Need for Speed images that I had cut out over the top along with the sentiment from Daring Adventure.

The card uses Very Vanilla, Basic Gray, Elegant Eggplant and Bashful Blue card stock and Basic Gray and Bashful Blue classic ink.

I added a few Vintage trinkets to the ends of the Basic Gray card stock layer as well.

Enjoy Life

I took these pictures of Wyatt at the lake last summer and wanted to do something fun with them.  Daring Adventures seemed like the right stamp set to go with the project and I also used the Well Worn Designer Series paper so this goes with our Late Night Stampers Challenge this week as well.

There are not a lot of embellishments and it kind of feels like there should be a few more things added, but I just don't know what at the moment.

The glass that came with the frame is left out so the panels can pop out just a little bit.

Pink Adventures

I have another Daring Adventure card for you today, can you tell I love this set?  The colors I chose were Pretty in Pink, Soft Suede, Marina Mist and Whisper White.

Aren't those little clothespins adorable?  I also added some Marina Mist scallop dots ribbon to finish off the card.

I have another zfold card to share with you today, this time using the Sale-a-bration designer series paper Everyday Enchantment along with the Daring Adventure and Tagtastic stamp sets. 

I added a little butterfly from the Beautiful Wings embosslit and some ruffled Pool Party ribbon to the front and a little sentiment to the inside.

Daring Adventure

My final project for UStamp with Dawn and Friends Score! has posted so I am able to share it with you.  This was another fun project to create and I definitely had my Simply Scored Tool out many times during the process :)

I finally got around to using Mary Jo's sketch this week!  This time of year I should have lots of time to work on my projects, but it doesn't seem like that is true this year.

I used Soft Suede, Pear Pizazz and Pretty in Pink card stock and classic inks along with the stamp set Daring Adventure for my sample.

There is some texture added as well with the Stripes and Perfect Polka Dots impressions folders and a little bit of dotted scallop ribbon in Pretty in Pink

Another Message Board

Here is another version of my message board, this time using the Mocha Morning Specialty paper and the Daring Adventure stamp set.

I use 8 x 10 inch frames for these and instead of having the glass laying around someplace where it could get broken, I put it behind the cardstock.

you will love the projects!

I have a couple different projects to show you, the first  uses the extra large oval, large oval and scallop oval punches.  The background is double embossed using the Vintage Wallpaper impressions folder and black embossing powder (the base on the first card is Crumb Cake and on the

second card it is Very Vanilla).

The Designer Frames impressions folder works great with the extra large oval punch making a perfect frame for the punched piece.  Behind the image in the oval, I have used the faux mother of pearl technique which doesn't stand out in the picture.

This is just another version of the same card.

My next project is a fancy favor box with a handle made using our new lace ribbon border punch.  There are also 3 punched items hanging on some linen thread around the ribbon.  These were stamped with stazon on poly shrink plastic and then heated so they shrunk down to a much smaller size.

I used the scallop circle and decorative label punches for those and made a hole in them with the crop-o-dile before I heated the plastic.

Using the Fabulous Phrases stamp set, I stamped "heartfelt" and "thanks" on two of the pieces of plastic and the flower image from Charming on the third.  The border around the words is from the Four Frames stamp set.

August Stamp Club projects

It is that time again for our monthly Stamp Club, I can't wait for tonight!!

This month I chose a masculine theme for the layout using the Daring Adventure stamp set and Well Worn designer series paper. 

I punched out some elements and then ran them through the crimper tool (actually my son, Wyatt did this for me - he loves to punch and now also loves the crimper!).

I apologize for the blurriess of this page, I seem to have trouble photographing the layouts sometimes.

This card was CASED from one that Robin Merriman did on her blog here.

And the final card uses the Beau Chateau designer series paper along with the Just Believe stamp set.

Well Worn Adventure

Our challenge this week at Late Night Stampers is to show off our new catalog stuff which of course is always fun :)  I am using the Daring Adventure stamp set and Well Worn designer series paper along with the Designer frames impressions folder for this sample. 

I sponged the edges of all the pieces with Soft Suede classic ink and added some hemp twine and a mini clothespin for fun.

I have another sample for the Late Night Stampers inspiration challenge this week using the picture below.
