Target Practice

It wasn't long after our son, Hunter, finished his Hunter Safety course that he wanted to get in some target practice with his dad.  Our dog seemed to want to stick beside him when he was shooting and also when our other son, Wyatt, was taking a turn and I got some fun pictures of the process without them knowing.

I used the Calling All Heros stamp set for the title and the corner images.  After stamping, I used the white chalk maker to make some dotted lines on the inside of the images and then colored the whole corner with Daffodil Delight blendabilities markers.

I added a little Word Bubble die cut to the corner of one of the photos as well.

Supplies:
Memento Black ink
White chalk marker
Daffodil Delight Blendabilities
Crumb Cake, Whisper White and Basic Black card stock
Flowerpot dsp
Word Bubbles framelits

Blendability Background

I am still working on trying to master the Blendabilities markers, but while I do that I also play with them a little without blending them together.  This is another sentiment free card and I stamped the Serene Silhouettes image on Very Vanilla card stock with Memento black ink and then used the lightest Coastal Cabana Blendabilities marker on the background.

I tried to make it a little uneven so it looks sort of like a sky and I think it worked out pretty well.

Supplies:
Serene Silhouettes
Memento Black ink
Very Vanilla, Night of Navy, Kraft, Pear Pizzazz card stock
linen thread
Deco labels framelits
Arrows folder
Coastal Cabana Blendabilities markers

Life's Adventure

The card I have to share today uses one of the new hostess sets called Life's Adventure.  I colored the cake with the Blendabilities markers (Coastal Cabana and Rich Razzleberry) and then added some images from Point and Click to the background.

The baker's twine is just wrapped around the Smoky Slate card stock and taped down in the  back with washi tape to hold it in place.

Supplies:
Life's Adventure
Point and Click
Memento Black, Pumpkin Pie, Bermuda Bay ink
Blendabilities (Coastal Cabana, Rich Razzleberry)
white baker's twine

Blended Birthday

Well, here is that Blended Bloom image again, but this time I used some Rich Razzleberry Blendabilities markers on it along with the Daffodil Delight Blendabilities for the center.  I have never worked with alcohol markers before so I have a lot of work ahead of me to master using them!!

The center of the flower is cut out and popped up which gives it a nice 3d effect.  I used a little Moonlight designer series paper and a sentiment from Bloom with Hope.  The ribbon is the Blackberry Bliss stitched satin and it is so easy to work with!

Supplies:
Blended Bloom, Bloom with Hope
Blackberry Bliss ink
Daffodil Delight and Rich Razzleberry blendabilities
Blackberry Bliss, Whisper White, Hello Honey card stock
Moonlight dsp
modern label punch
chevron folder
Blackberry Bliss stitched satin ribbon
linen thread

Birthday Surprise

One of the first stamp sets I was draw to in the new catalog that wasn't a sentiment set was Draw the Line (page 35), I know I will be using it quite a bit both on cards and scrapbook pages.

I paired it with some Maritime designer series paper and the Birthday Surprise set.  My button actually started out white, but I used the darkest Coastal Cabana blendabilities marker to make it a different color!  Just be sure to let it dry thoroughly before you handle it if you try this yourself :)

Supplies:
Birthday Surprise, Draw the Line
Bermuda Bay ink
Pistachio Pudding, Whisper White, Bermuda Bay and Pool Party card stock
Maritime DSP
2 1/2" circle, 1 3/4" circle, 1" circle punch
Large Polka Dot folder
Neutral Button
linen thread
Coastal Cabana blendabilities

One of the new photopolymer stamp sets that is available is called Endless Birthday Wishes and I really love the font used for the words in the set.

On this card, I put a bunch of words on a block and just stamped them all over the card.  I used a few of the blendabilities markers to color in the cake although I didn't blend anything together.

Supplies:
Endless Birthday Wishes
Rich Razzleberry, Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White card stock
Memento Black ink
Blendabilities markers
2 3/8" scallop circle punch
1 3/4" circle punch
